cya guys lata im going to get sum new tyres! 235/45/17 for the front. and the backs are ok. surprise!!!!

I'm getting new 235/45/17 sat $165 for Falken's ZE-326 :D But that is with the club discount through Bob Jane T-Marts.

I dont have speakers at work so it wouldn't be as effective.

Now this stupid excel formula wont work :D

What does the $ sign in an excel formula mean again.

ahhhhhh funny, soooo funny, must watch again!! :D

The dollar sign before a part of the cell reference makes that part of the reference static, ie if you move/change the cell containing the formula, that part of the formula isn't modified. If you have $A5, then copy it one cell down and right, the ref will change to $A6 - there is no $ sign in front of the row number, so it's allowed to change. Doing the same thing with A$5 will allow the A to change, so it'll change to B$5. I'm not the best at explaining things, but if you want to email the document to me I'm happy to look at it :D

VLOOKUP is used to look up a value in the leftmost column of a table, then returns a value from the same row.

So, your formula is looking for a value (whatever is in B63 of the current sheet, eg 'fred') in the leftmost column of the area between A4 and S93 on the sheet named 'main sheet' in the file '26_261204.xls'. When it finds 'fred' in this column, it returns the value in column 19 (ie column S) of that row. The 'FALSE' at the end specifies that it must be an EXACT match, rather than an approximate one.

OMG your so smart.

Sorry I had to ask my boss. I didnt want to have to but I did. The formula was right and it was looking up what it needed to in the right sections.. but while I was on leave last week one of the ladies that was doing my work changed the name of one of the guys in one of the databases so what I was telling it to look up, it couldn't find cause it was spelt different in the two databases.

It was only one entry that was stuffing up, all the rest were fine!

Thanks heaps marc. I actually understand the formula now. My boss just showed me and said "heres how you copy it across" Didn't actually tell me what it does and what it's doing.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
