Fronts only? Is that fitted? Keep your pads?

Sorry for the q's... It's coming up on my list of mods too...

Yeah fronts only, not fitted, doesn't include pads either.

Probably could have sourced them cheaper but I needed them done pretty quickly.

uhmm before i send all this stuff off to you, what exactly do you do with compyters:D

We sell computer hardware and assemble/fix computers, setup Networks etc etc

go here for link ... www.umart.com.au

yer mechanical are probably the best in my opinion, tho apparently you can be defected for a mechanical boost guage as you are bringing engine vacume through the firewall which is illegal???

can anyone shed some light on that?

I've heard something similar...

But, the old commos had an economy gauge in dash which read engine vacuum... And the old Mercs had vacuum assisted central locking... So there is a few arguing points...

for pads strutto, see the guy at brake distributors labrador, and get yourself a set of rb-74s

if your getting slotted rotors, these are the pads to get

i got em on my car atm, they only squeal a bit cause the faces get a bit glazed sometimes,

slip runs the same pads on his 31, and if uve ever seen that thing stop, ull definatly agree they are good pads

$520 isn't too bad for slotted..

If you can catch me unawares you can steal mine strutto :)

Belgarion: could be? But still, you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get defected for that. Haven't heard anybody in australia getting defected for that. But i'm sure a cop could try it. In VIC they tried "exhaust too big".. lol

nexus9 i know you assemble computers at umart, my friend buys em off ya,

i used to buy all my wintel pc parts at umart when i was into pc's but in those days, i had to drive to milton to get the parts too

mick51 from here used to work for umart too if i remember correctly, in the RA dept

Yah... rb74's are on the list... But gunna do rotors first... Should rotors be bedded in with new pads or old pads???

ann you work for umart, gotcha i know what they do..

Mate just a bit of advice for me here, if i was to head off to that field of work would i be able to get in without a MSA and the other thing. considering my other qualifications?

In all honesty cert 1,2 and 3 don't mean a hell of a lot until you take the step to sit for your A+. If you have those certificates then an A+ shouldn't be too hard.

You could still get in the industry by impressing me with your real life knowledge for example.

But I think a little more study may be in order.

    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
