yeah.. seriously... imagine your gearbox without oil.

it would be farked the moment your hit 1st.

well i got a story on that

my aunt has a cq60 merc

and she took it to be serviced

and they never put gearbox oil back in

she then drove half way to dbn (+-350kms)

and then it seized

she then said "i tought i could hear something whinning and getting louder"

yes i will take 10litres pls

get Rozz to try it as well.

the specs for turbolite are:

TYPE OF USE

Specially designed for high performance engines

All gasoline or Diesel engines, Turbo or naturally aspirated, multivalves, with carburettor or with injection, with or without catalytic converter.

Suitable for all types of fuel : standard, unleaded, Diesel fuel, LPG.

All driving conditions : City, Road, Highway.

PERFORMANCE

STANDARDS ACEA A3 / B3

APPROVALS API SL / CF

VW 505 00 / VW 500 00 quality

Mercedes Benz page 229.1

* The new standard API SL is more stringent than API SJ in terms of ageing resistance (average drain interval increased), requires anti-oxydation properties that maintain a constant viscosity avoiding sluge and deposits in the crankcase, anti-wear properties and dispersent power

The synthetic base stock provides high lubricating power and protects perfectly the engine while in intensive use on road, highway or in town.

The high performing anti-wear additivation results in reduction of engine internal frictions and increases life duration by wear reduction.

SAE 10W-40 viscosity grade is fully adapted to recent gasoline and Diesel engines and ensures easier starts.

Very efficient anti-deposit and anti-black sludge power which keeps the engine clean.

Anti-oxidation, Anti-corrosion, Anti-foam properties.

idiots.

that's why i like to do the servicing myself. at least i know WHAT kinda oil is going in and i can take my own sweet time.

i usually leave the engine oil to drain for 2 hours :(

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
