I was at gavin's today and noticed the phone was off the hook lol

getting my fuel pump upgraded next week and hes also putting my alloy bushes on :)

I was going to say that but I didn't want to. Its' very hard for them to do work plus run back in to answer the phone. So they just take it off the hook :(

Manda even does it sometimes if shes trying to do something important.

hey ska, what u been doing? i fitted my stealth wing today. I only used sikaflex as what people recommended me and i didnt think it was gonna stick but man this thing wont budge hhahaha.

nismogirl its a whole ecu on its own. Its plug and play into the existing loom like the power fc which is great. So ill be ditching the safc which wasnt doing much anyway as it pulled my timing out and made my car misfire when boosted.

Then it sounds like another trip to willowbank heh

Hey MJ nothing much bumming round at work in and out of meeting after meeting today :) So what exactly does an safc do or what is it for? (I do realise that is a really noob question, but have had it explained serval times, still a bit confused......noob)

ska the safc is a air/fuel piggyback computer. It allows you to adjust the amount of air or fuel you want to put into the car. Nissan tend to make their ecu's a bit rich and when combined with a few mods the safc is needed to lean out the mixture to get a better air/fuel ratio.

This makes the car run better and give you more power and perhaps a little bit better fuel economy. Except that i dont have any form of timing control and when the safc gets leaned out the car will misfire due to the timing. So thats why i want to get a full ecu as this one is very limited in what it can do where as a wolf3d does everything :)

    • Maybe also really stiffly sprung track cars. Get the inside wheel up in a corner and all the fun stops. Also me sometimes (rarely) when I have to stand on the brake to convince the diff to drive the wheel that is still on the ground when I'm trying to diagonally get over severe driveway entrance, etc.
    • I feel like I'm missing something. You had an authorised installer come out and install a new alarm. Post install the car doesn't start, and you aren't getting the installer back to fix what they did wrong?
    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
