Thanks for all the info. Good read. Sounds like I may as well stick with the GT25/30 for now. Like I said I don't have any problems with it at the top end.

Are there any decent twin-turbo SR20s around? Would there be any significant gains in response/low end? Or more hassle than it's worth?

Edit: To the above, I have no preference to brand; are there any good rivals in the low end response catagory?

Also that GT2860RS is virtually the same as a 2530 but is compressor wheel is a slightly more modern design .

In an effort to utilize an existing thread;

I am considering running 2 x 2860RS discos on my 1JZ

I am confined to my .48 AR turbine housings however wont have much hassle going to a better compressor housing (oem housings are .30 AR for compressor).

I am thinking of using the native .60 t04 cover off the disco itself, however fear it may create an inbalance with the turbine housing. Alternatively I was thinking of machining a set of 2560 covers on (still .60 AR).

While we are on the topic of SR20 based turbos, what are some opinions on the above?

I am figuring seeing as 2530s have an outright flow of say 450rwkw in max tune, perhaps the right comp cover in my .48 housings would yield a potential within 100rwkw difference? I am assuming the compressor cover will be the deal breaker.

zero low end and response with a twin :) i had a twin sr20 (tdo4's) on display in my old autobarn shop in sa for a few years

Well GT2530s have always had 0.64 A/R GT28 based turbine housings and I pretty sure a variation of a T04B sized compressor housing , the way to tell is to see of the comp housing has and adapter ring between the bearing housing and the comp housing . If the comp housing is held in by the circlip directly on the back of the comp housing its smaller .

For OE RB26 sized housings possibly 34GTR GT2556R's or 707160-9/GTSS turbos should be more responsive .

I'd have thought a single turbo conversion on a 1JZ would be simpler , much simpler that the sequential turbos I thought those engines had . Maybe look at the new BW range for something suitable .

I can't see any advantage of parallel twins on an inline four , You'd need to have one feed off cylinders 1-4 and the other off 2-3 so one would be on top of the other in a plumbing nightmare . I reckon you could do better with a custom manifold and an Evo X specific TS TIW GT3076R .

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
