Maaaaaad Lag

Ok i got a hks T04R set up on my rb26 and its laggy as f**k. full boost by 6500rpm which is just rediculous, so i think the rear housing is a 1.15 just wondering what size i should drop down to and what lag can i expect on that. i really only want 450awhp from it so any suggestions are great, also are any other common housings readily interchangable with the T04R? thanks

Sounds about right for an very old tech turbo with a ridiculously big rear housing.

You'd need to be around the .82 size to get it to be of any use, even then mate, it's not going to be the best performer for that power goal

Ideally for that power mark, a GTX3076 (or a GT35) is what you want. Not an old hat 04R

have you got any suggestions as to what turbo i could swap it out with for a little less lag and about that power mark? preferably with the same flange so i dont have to change the manifold

.82 should easily get your power goal..

or switch to a smaller more responsive turbo as stated

.84 twin entry on a ebay manifold had full boost by 4k in a loaded gear, anout 5k in 1st. (t04z)

115 is a rotary sized housing, evan .96 is to big.

most turbo shops will have some laying around. p trim turbine .
