The front bar needs to be plastic welded in 1 or 2 places then just a bit more prep work for paint. I've already have 2L or paint for the bar ( I know I dont need that much)

Then I will be putting one of the group buy garage door seals on it for a lip should be done by next weekend.

PICSSSSSSS!!! when done man! interested to see those lips look amazing.

true true u can never put a $$ value next to awesome wheels. The rotas for me where a cheaper option however they were what i wanted cheap and available kinda quick so got what i paid for.

Front bar is done and assembled on the car!

Its worth the effort to take out the Orange filter in the indicators as it looks so much cleaner.

Putting the lip on was a pain.. the double sided tape I bought wasn't quite wide enough to get a good grip and hold everything secure a bit of glue here and there fix the problem.

O yea, and I have finally installed my personalised plates.

Have a Time attack session booked for QR tomorrow in the afternoon so I will see how everything goes! Very excitelaugh.gif

Track day was a great success, for my first time out I don't think I did too bad, only had one off on my first lap... got a bit too excited.

Ended up getting a 1:10 something (have lost the sheet) around clubman and 1:06.3147 around the Sprint track

Can't wait to get out there again, will be rolling on the Advan Rs's and AD08's instead of federal 595 Super Streets so hopefully I can have a good crack at getting some lower times.

Didn't break anything, just cooked the brake fluid and it got all spongy, so I will have to flush the system out and put something better in.

I am editing my in car videos from the day.. go easy on how I drive whistling.gif Its good to see my improvement from the first lap to the last.

Finally got my net uncapped and videos quickly edited... Have started uploading them to Youtube only have sessions 1 and 2 up at the moment, im the process of doing 3,4 and 5.

Video's not working -_-

Go to my channel... other videos as well http://www.youtube.c...01?feature=mhee

Have uploaded the third video, still have 4 and 5 to do but they are being a pain in the ass getting to 94% then deciding to fail -_-

Have a few things to fix from the track day as well. I started to get a funky idle on start up the next day so I thought the AFM might have been dirty but it turn out that wasn't the problem.

post-63710-0-93662500-1316701030_thumb.jpg

Turns out the extractors started to melt the underside of my intake and thus making me have a crap idle. So a metal replacement will have to be made up as well as a heat shield I guess.

Boiled the brake fluid, it has since been flushed and bled again.

Rear left hub bearing started to have a lot of play so I have decided to replace them with some new bearings. Will install them this weekend.

Annnnd my rear left coilover needs rebuilding.

But with all of the problems I still managed to get out to SAUQLD happy laps at QR

Happylaps at Lakeside with Skylines Queensland good fun keeping up with the turbo skylines.

Dont really have much of an update, replaced both rear wheel bearings, still have a leaky rear left coilover and intake with holes in it.

Have bought a 7 point cusco bolt in cage that I have test fitted and am in the process of painting it flat black (it was brown before with red sparkles rolleyes.gif)

The wheels and tyres have arrived and I will pick them up in a week or two hopefully thumbsup.gif

Have a bit of an update not much. Still havn't gotten the rims... lazy...

But I have gotten a custom Aluminum intake made up to replace the stock plastic one with holes...

Fabricated by Extreme Custom Engineering at Archerfeild

Have that nice little induction sound now... although I cant hear it over the exhaust if im in the car.

Next update should be a 7 Point cusco cage install (just need to finish painting the middle hoop) and rims and tyres hopefully thumbsup.gif

Well.. haven't really updated this much only a few things have happened since the last update.

1. Roll cage is installed

2. Have a mod plate for the cage, brake upgrade and aftermarket seat (might as well get those)

3. Back left coilover has leaked all of its fluid on my garage floor and has a bad knocking noise... so rebuild is needed.

4. Ariel motor and cable has been removed, now I just need to find something to plug up the hole until I fix the rust in that back corner.

5. Have an rb30 that I swapped for my old grill, stripped down and ready to clean/machine.

That's all for now, trying to get the car ready for the time attack season next year, just wish things would stop breaking.

Haven't updated this in awhile but here it goes.

Coilover has been rebuilt meaning everything was back in form and doing great.

Until this... defect station. Drove passed a cop car in pretty heavy traffic and got to a set of lights with the police about 10 cars behind, they decided it was an emergency to hunt me down. So sirens went on and everyone still stationary at the lights pulled into drive ways etc as did I only to see them stop next to me and escort me around a few roads to the station. mad.gif

post-63710-0-13449100-1332891299_thumb.jpg

I got away quite lightly with only my exhaust being too loud and therefore defective at 101db (needs to be 90)

So I am now going to have to put a mid muffler in the car to clear the defect so it can be put up for sale... yep for sale.

This car has served me very well but due to my current situation that has been developing I will have to sell.

Here is a picture of the last event I was at. The first Motorkhana that SAUQLD held.

    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
    • Hi, I have a r32 gtr transmission. Does any of you guys have an idea how much power it will hold with the billet center plate and stock gearset? At what power level and use did yours brake with or without billet plate? Thanks, Oystein Lovik
    • Saw this replica police car based on a Mitsubishi Starion XX parked next to a 'police box' (it's literally a box) in Hirohata, Himeji City in Hyogo prefecture the other day. It's owned by Morii-san who is a local Mitsubishi Starion enthusiast. According to a local radio station blog post, he always wanted to make a police car himself based on ones he saw in his favourite Manga comics.  As it's illegal to modify a car to look like a police car and drive on the road, Morii-san tried many times to get permission from Aboshi police station headquarters nearby. They refused initially by after they got tired of that they granted him permission. However, the car can only be displayed on private property and obviously can't be registered as long as the police livery is present. The car was completed at a cost of 1.5 million yen (US$ 10,000) in addition to the car cost. A location was chosen outside Hirohata Police box where the car can easily been seen from the street. Morii-san has two other Starion road cars, both widebody GSR-VRs.
