bnr#@
Have wanted to give macro stuff a go for a while, may buy some extension tubes and give it a go on the cheap with my current lenses. Heres a few from the other day for now though: Thoughts and comments welcome Also, if anyone knows how to deal with very bright reflective bits (first photo) when using flash let me know Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348992-january-2011-photo-thread/page/9/#findComment-5637536 Share on other sites
NISMØ
Tried lowering your flash exposure comp on your camera? I put mine on -2 to avoid the exact thing youre talking about when taking pictures. If I lower the flash to much it wont show the car properly, Its a highly reflective strip. Numberplates are also a problem for that mater... Both the flash and exposure as set manualy also so no use for exposure comp there. Maybe a small dome difuser on the flash might help? Jay019
ah yep, can see the shadow from the headrest. didnt think of flash. probably because I dont have one so I've been using HDR to help balance lighting, lol. FST513
Serg, The only way to compete with reflective things and flash is to bounce it. Although i assume that wouldn't be appropriate as you would lose too much flash power at basically night time. i.e. flash bounces and spreads from above, otherwise it will always reflect Try diffusing it with a tiny softbox. Dont realy have anything to bounce it off, even if I did have Enough flash power. Will try a small softbox when I find some $ for it and see how I go there Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348992-january-2011-photo-thread/page/9/#findComment-5638506 Share on other sites
MaTBoY
rear 45 and sun roof shots are by far the best. gay shadows kill the other interior shots, the exteriors are bit dark. good shooting though Went for the Putty rd cruise here today. took a couple shots. Here they are. I avoided the camera for a change. it was nice to just drive and chill out for a change The run The line up The cube Dodgey Pano Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348992-january-2011-photo-thread/page/9/#findComment-5638525 Share on other sites

Have a spare set if ya need one I do need a set, but dont have much of a cashflow at the moment. lol. As for headrest shadow, ive done it before. Easiest way I can think of to avoid it is to drop all the seats back as low as possible and out of the way. Well, that or use more flashes? Passive
Hey just a shot that i took on my weekend away at Yallingup. Was kind of just chilling on the beach. Shot posted as i've taken it. I still havent gotten a new lens cos other stuff keeps coming up. MaTBoY
A new lens would be nice but you don't need one as long as you can still shoot that shot is nice. What i think would have improved it... I probably would have moved to the right a bit so you could see the beach join up, and put more focus on the footprints/waves. nice shot though, relaxing Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348992-january-2011-photo-thread/page/9/#findComment-5640562 Share on other sites

Nothing worse than seeing car shots where the wheels are pointed at the camera (im guilty of this, lol) only thing I would have done different is a slightly lower shooting angle... and tell that dog to piss off out of frame Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/348992-january-2011-photo-thread/page/9/#findComment-5640650 Share on other sites

FST513
I love Indian weddings! Everything about them is so cool! It's good to see your car clean lol. You should wash it more often, it always looks good in that pearly white colour. Will post up snaps of the new evo tonight!
