V8SkylineMAN wonders if he would look out of place in the gf's festiva.......

yeah probably would.......i really have to go get my line from mackay :D

might come down for a look tho would like to meet some of u guys

Well good news is that we got $45.60 in donations from the meet to go to SAU. Bad news is that I had a bit of a bingle with an island.

Basically end of a really long straight, came in too hot, didnt see the corner coming up but saw the warning sign, started to brake and saw that corner was fast approaching, felt the car back end drift a bit to the left, corrected and then the brakes locked, and pulled up just about 2 metres too far :D

BIG Thanks to all who helped change the tyre and expert opinions on if it was drivable and what needed to be replaced and who joined the train following me basically 95% of the way home.

Think I'll be a passenger for the next couple of cruises:D

Condolences Ska

Hope your downtime is minimal.

Bright side is you were not injured, and just think....it coulda been a wall/ditch/tree/edge of cliff, and done a shitload more damage to you and your car.

Oh hell yeah! I saw the island and aimed fot the middle, no way was I going to try to miss it and hit either end with those signs, that would have been far worse. I did try letting up on the brakes to try to go left, but when I did car seemed to move faster towards the island, brain took over i think and pressed harder :D

Lesson, when you do not know the road, take it easy :D there were a lot of really deceiving corners, I just happen to be the unlucky sod to pay for being a bit too overconfident. Lucky there was no one in front or too close behind me.

Wonder what it looked like from behind, strutto?

Downtime will be long, but only have myself to blame for that :(

yeah you were lucky alright :(~ hunt around for some with with a 33 f/c to grab some bits off ;P sure that it wont cost you much,

i also think if you ask some people they will give you a hand to change it , *raises hand*

any way . good night . even tho my poor widdle frakinstine s13 was a little out of place * i have skyline breaks ;) *

`josh ( povo s13 )

No way your little Sylvia SX Was awesome, was very cool seeing the flames :(

Yeah right at this point in time I dont want to even think about fixing it, I want to sleep, but cant. It's getting very annoying ;)

Dont you worry, as soon as I get a guestamite on the costs and scrounge it from somewhere, I'll be putting the call out for help :D

Thanks a lot for offereing, and again THANKS to all who helped out.

You know the thing that scared me the most was not the crash, it was the hissing once I stopped, I so thought it was the motor and shat myself, turned it all off, and realised it was the tyre deflating, whew, looked underneath, no leaking fluids, whew, I count my lucky stars as 1 metre either way i would have hit those sign poles, nasty even though I only hit it at ~60kph I thought I did pretty good in pulling her up, really tried to keep her straight, and so tried to let off the brakes when it did lock, cause i knew i had to, just brain took over i think.

Oh well, it was an exciting experience :D

Thanks again to all who helped!!!

    • With the system, once you drive it for a bit, and before you turn the car off, does the car fix its date and time? When you say the date is wrong, what date does the vehicle think it is, and does it always show the same date? My thoughts from a process driven view is; The system may be defaulting to a standard start date/time. The main reason you'd typically see this occuring, is the system is losing its constant/backup power supply.   If its always defaulting to the same date/time at start up, and especially if it fixes itself while driving, I'd say either the non volatile memory has an issue, or the power supply to the volatile memory that stores this information.   The other thing I'd check is if there is anywhere in the system you can adjust the date and time from. If the date/time is still moving forward since it wished you happy new year, then it is 100% possible the system has just had a bit of data corruption occur, and you likely need to find a way to reset the date/time in the vehicle.
    • Scissor Jacks are an accident waiting to happen, the only time they should be used are in an roadside flat, even then a tyre and rim should be placed underneath
    • You know how your car rolled through a fence in your last jacking escapade? Scissor jacks increase the likely hood of that sort of thing happening immensely!

    • Just trying to get my head around this. At 5psi of boost, you turn on your wmi pump, and then you're using a 3000cc injector, to allow flow upto the actual engine, where you have your 6x200cc injectors and a 500cc injector. If the above is correct, what advantage are you obtaining by having the 3000cc injector blocking flow, is this just incase a line breaks between that injector and the motor you can stop flow immediately? Or are the 6x200cc and 500cc less injectors and just spray nozzle?
