Oil On Ac Compressor

Looking underneath my car I found oil on the bottom of my AC compressor... I wiped it off and the next day it was back again.

It doesn't look like its dripping from the top, its just on the bottom. Is there oil in the AC compressor and do they ever leak? It doesn't look like engine oil...

It'll be a flurri green or yellow if its from the compressor. It would have mixed with the gas a bit.

It looks more red... Kind of like ATF fluid... If I clean it up and don't run the AC, will I see a build up?

if it's red it's power steering fluid.

my ac compressor has completely dropped all it's oil, well it's in the process of dropping it gradually. it's like a yellow colour

really f**king annoying as getting the compressor out looks like an absolute crap job

not the cheapest to replace if your looking at a new one to. Id try to find a good condition second hand one personally
