Where can i buy half decent wheel spacers from? Ive been through 2 sets from just jap and had nothing but trouble with them ie; shaking steering.

Mate at work said qtr are good? Googled them but nothing came up.

Cheers.

Have you been using hubcentric spacers?

These have a lip in the centre to locate the hub of the rim so all the weight of the car is not being supported on the wheel studs. If not, you'll find it's almost impossible to get rid of the shake, as the wheels are not on centre. Also the lip must engage firmly both on the disc hub, And the wheel hub.

When you had issues, did you return the to Just Jap for replacement?

I've used hubcentric spacers a few times and provided they're machined correctly you should have no issues. (Even though spacers are illegal and the correct offset wheel is always the best solution)

I've used

Yea returned some 30mm and got some 20mm but still the same issues. I know 100% its not the wheels as when i ran a 5mm slip on it was perfectly steady at 100 and above plus the wheels are new.

Im pretty damn sure they had the ring on the spacer but the hole on the drift teks is pretty big and it doesnt sit tight on it.

Can anyone recommend a place to get high quality spacers from?

can't blame the spacers for the wheel shake if the center bore of the wheel is larger than the ring on the spacer. that's what's supposed to center the wheel so you don't get the shakes.

fwiw, the hub ring doesn't take any load, it just centers the wheel while you tighten it. friction between the wheel and hub takes the load.

While i do agree somewhat with that its not like on some wheels were the wheel can move al over the before the nuts are tightened. With the wheel sitting on the spacer it sits on there pretty tight and doesnt feel like it can move anywhere especially when tightened.

I will try it though, will go a tyre place tonight and see if they have any.

+1 for hubcentric rings
