Damn - hate it when im right !!! :(

ill still be there though...

soo!! did you actually make it?! :)

Thanks to everyone that turned up!!! I actually didn't think so many of you would! Hehe...was fully expecting to go it alone!! Glad i didn't have to though :)

I'm happy to say we had no bad encounters with cops! in fact...we had no encounters at all! no incidents nothing!! The road was a lil wet....and it was definitely a slippery drive, but apart from that it was a nice clean cruise! :)

Whens the next one!!! :P:D :D

great cruise guys, that was great fun... :(

Hey Ash,

You didn't make it right to Terrigal did you?

I didn't see you there?

You don't know me, but i know of you thru Backup(Dale)

I think i counted 10 Skylines at Terrigal :)

Niiiiicccceeeee

soo!!  did you actually make it?! :(

Course i did !!

although, got %$^$ called for work by the time we all arived at Kariong, so i had to scoot.... :cuss:

the drive was good - a LOT longer than i thought, but i learnt something about my car....how deep in the red it can go petrol wise ! (didnt see a petrol warning light though..)

Great to meet up with the Central Coast contingent, and put some faces to names... :) Hopefully will catch up again next weekend...

just gotta remember -

1) more petrol next time

2) 265/35/18's and wet roads dont go, regardless of how the car handles !! :P

you guys took your sweet time gettin' up there

I missed the 9pm meeting point by 10 mins and had to hang out at work on the net for 30 mins. (washed my car and missed you guys)

I then went up to macca's and met up with ronin and some others, it was good to meet some people from here though.

so when's the next one? make it a month away or something

cheers

Thanks for the cruise,  I had a ball on those slippery roads !   It sure beat sitting at home on the net and watching TV   :-)

When is the next one !!!

Hehehe....i told you!!! next time bring the mazda out!!! :D I think james and martin regretted being in my car the first time you disappeared!!

and man do i have alot to learn about windy roads!!! what a struggle to keep up! and you and the s15 weren't even trying!!!! :

Hey gizmo! you should do what i do when on call! drag your laptop everyone and just log on remotely!! :):(:P

Next cruise!? a month away is probably good! whose going to organising it?!?! :D

Bah thats not right.... i'm on 265/35's and i actually almost caught up with mona (which is a feat even in the dry) after she got a 10 min head start from wisemans :)

But that said i almost sh*t myself on a few corners and bridges.

Kudos on the cruise mona, how could you think even for a second that we'd make u go it alone. I miss your exhaust tho.

Oh and Dave, you drive like my grandma.... and she's dead :(

Simon, was that you that I caught upto near the end of that road with the intersection to Gosford/Singleton/Sydney and we didn't know where to go? I was in the Midnight Purple R33 GTR...

If so, you have to also factor in the 2-3 minutes we spent stationary at that intersection trying to figure it out and calling people too :)

Hahahaha....and the fact you caught up means you were driving alot better than i was :P

YAY!! i'm glad you guys turned up! :D i wasn't sure cause i didn't see any other posts apart from your first ones... :D

and i miss my exhaust too :) :) :( :( its too quiet now! but i'd better get used to it!

Hey Andrew! Sorry! I was figuring it out as i went!!! next time i'll remember to say its pretty much straight all the way to the last intersection with the lights! :)

    • I thought that might be the case, thats what I'll start saving for. Thanks for the info
    • Ps i found the below forum and it seems to be the same scenario Im dealing with. Going to check my ECU coolant temp wire tomorrow    From NICOclub forum: s1 RB25det flooding at start up Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:23 am I am completely lost on this. Car ran perfectly fine when I parked it at the end of the year. I took the engine out and painted the engine bay, and put a fuel cell with an inline walbro 255 instead of the in tank unit I had last year. After reinstalling everything, the engine floods when the fuel pump primes. if i pull the fuel pump fuse it'll start, and as soon as I put the fuse back in it starts running ridiculously rich. I checked the tps voltage, and its fine. Cleaned the maf as it had some dust from sitting on a shelf all winter, fuel pressure is correct while running, but wont fire until there is less than 5psi in the lines. The fuel lines are run correctly. I have found a few threads with the same problem but no actual explanation of what fixed it, the threads just ended. Any help would be appreciated. I found the problem though. There was a break in one of the ecu coolant temp sensor wires. Once it was repaired it fired right up with no problems. I would have never thought a non working coolant temp sensor would have caused such an issue.
    • Hi sorry late reply I didnt get a chance to take any pics (my mechanics on the other side of the city) but the plugs were fouled from being too rich. I noticed the MAF wasn't genuine, so I replaced it with a genuine green label unit. I also swapped in a different ignitor, but the issue remains. I've narrowed it down a bit now: - If I unplug and reconnect the fuel lines and install fresh spark plugs, the car starts right up and runs perfectly. Took it around the block with no issues - As soon as I shut it off and try to restart, it won't start again - Fuel pressure while cranking is steady around 40 psi, injectors have good spray, return line is clear, and the FPR vacuum is working. It just seems like it's getting flooded after the first start I unplugged coolant sensors to see if its related to ECU flooding but that didnt make a difference. Im thinking its related to this because this issue only started happening after fixing coolant leaks and replacing the bottom part of the stock manifolds coolant pipe. My mechanic took off the inlet to get to get to do these repairs. My mechanics actually just an old mate who's retired now so ill be taking it to a different mechanic who i know has exp with RBs to see if they find anything. If you have any ideas please send em lll give it a try. Ive tried other things like swapping the injectors, fuel rail, different fuel pressure regs, different ignitor, spark plugs, comp test and MAF but the same issue persists.
    • My return flow is custom and puts the return behind the reo, instead of at the bottom. All my core is in the air flow, rather than losing some of it up behind the reo. I realise that the core really acts more as a spiky heatsink than as a constant rate heat exchanger, and that therefore size is important.... but mine fits everything I needed and wanted without having to cut anything, and that's worth something too. And there won't be a hot patch of core up behind the reo after every hit, releasing heat back into the intake air.
    • There is a really fun solution to this problem, buy a Haltech (or ECU of your choice) and put the MAF in the bin.  I'm assuming your going to want more power in future, so you'll need to get the ECU at some stage. I'd put the new MAF money towards the new ECU.
