Had alarm and insurance.

Good as gone.

Like I've said a thousand times. You can have the best alarm in the world, if a thief wants it, its theirs. Theres no point in arguing or bitching about it :( its a sad reality we live in.

facepalm...dont see how any of that helps getting the car back.

It doesn't - it's just the usual set of questions that gets put into every 'stolen' thread. (And invariably, the answer is 'no, i didn't have one' or 'no, I didnt have an australian standards approved one, so when I didn't arm it, it didn't auto-arm itself..'. I can't think of many recent 'stolen' threads where people had australian standards alarms fitted (and in use) and were still stolen. Worse, it typically pushes up the insurance costs for the rest of us...

Anyways, enough claptrap - good luck in getting the car back; Nobody deserves to have their car stolen. It's a low act.

fn thieves, hopefully they crash it and hurt themselves.. you say theres insurance so thats a good thing

yeah thats for sure... owning an import is just being stupid not insuring it.

no news as of yet but word has spread rather quickly, had random numbers messaging me back the same msg i sent to others! anyways keep a look out, its still out there somewhere.

Has been found yesterday through an anonymous tip.

Few scratches on bumpers and what not, stuffed ignition, they got past the alarm/immob, mechanically it ran fine on to a tow truck... at mechanics now getting a check over for insurance.

Unsure if anyone was caught or not. Thanks to those that kept an eye out :)

Club lock... Best deterant in the world.. i didnt have anything on my car = stolen.. Now everywhere i go and even at home i have the clublock on, has never been touched in 4 years.. Park it all over the place, marion, TTP and at work in complete darkness and nothing.. GET A CLUBLOCK!! If you dont have one and your cars stolen, too bad in my books... They are not expensive! Theres a few ways of getting around a clublock but it takes a bit of time, so even if you do have one, dont leave your car for too long..

even club locks arent gonna stop someone who wants it. if they had enough time to trick the alarm/immob they probably would have had the club lock off in no time if they were that keen. but its definitely a visual deterrant, and another thing to get through before its stolen so definitely worth having one on.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
