1989 R32 GTR

Nearly 88,000 klms. I do not believe these to be legit klms, paperwork suggests it is 188,000klms.

Engine:

Stock Turbs,

Jap speed cut chip + tune

Adjustable cam gears

Full 3" system JSMA (fujiturbo brand iirc)

G Reddy Profect B II EBC

Car made 230 AWKW @ 1bar

Pods

All engine hoses replaced with silicon hoses

Has the high idle issue that many GTR's have

Motor unopened

Engine has oil in the water (Not water in the oil, suspected blown head gasket) but it starts and runs fine but I have not driven it in the last 2 years and although I planned to build a monster I havn't had the funds to do so, Engine has no other issues.

Driveline:

Near new Jim Berry 'Full Monty' carbonic clutch (1800klms only)

Gearbox is in good condition with no signs of wear.

HICAS lock bar (heavey steering at low speeds, this is fairly common aswel I beieve)

Suspension:

Tein Super Street Coil overs

Brakes

Done approx 1800klms ago, new front discs + sports pads.

Wheels / Tyres:

R32 GTR style Jap 2 piece rims 17" x 9 on front and 17" x 9.5 on rear (brand evades me but it is somthing like Osimoto)

Crappy tyres but have decent tread

Interior:

Drivers seat retrimed in black cloth

The usual GReddy gauges (boost, oil, temp)

Stiching at top of rear seat is comming away a little, rest is fairly good nick

Dash bubble (dont they all have this?)

Speakers replaced with quality stock fitment replacements (Kenwood/Clarion)

Quality Clarion USB head unit

Exterior:

Silver paintwork is farly good just one small spot on the roof where it is a little rough (nothing severe)

N1 boot lip and side skirts, veliside bonnet lip, front bumper skirt is a bit scuffed.

Very good condition overall, I had the boot rust proofed about 18months ago.

Misc

Alarm/Immobiliser with 2 controllers, central locking etc.

2 keys (1 is a GTR key other stock nissan)

Owners manual

Why Selling:

Going to europe

Legals:

Unregistered

No RWC (should not need anything mechanical as I had anything worn replaced such as front bushes, driveshaft boots etc)

I am the first Australian to regester the car (bought privatly from the importer) was my daily for 4 years.

Financially unencumbered.

The car is esentially a fairly good neat and strait example and with a little bit of TLC will make a great street GTR again or a good basis for a project car, the car is most cirtainly NOT thrashed or run into the ground and when on the road it was serviced and maintained to the highest standard by both Melbourne Performance Centre and AutoTeknik Racing Developments.

Sorry about the photo's it has been stored for 2 years and needs a wash, I'll try and get some pics up of it clean on the weekend.

$12,000 Firm.

Melbourne Bundoora

Mob: 0434148348 (please no time wasters or idiots offering $6k)

has the engine been started and run while it was stored for 2 years? It's fully driveable yeah, just needs head gasket?

Yes it is started occationally and even driven up and down the driveway to turn oil over in the diffs and gearbox, I flush any oil that has made its way into the cooling system when I do this.

I'm being as honest as I can about this car, it's a good car I just havn't been able to get on with sorting it out after buying a house and work commitments etc.

Will be sad to see it go.

Cool, I wasnt sure on the brand but yes I can vouch for them being very light, they were also re rolled before I put them on the car.

Interior pics, sorry there are a few crappy ones there, and the dash may have been damp when the photo was taken, it is not that patchy.

Interior is more than passable for a 20+ yr old car, Some residual carbon fibre tape is still on the cluster surround, no damage tho.

1 small ciggy burn on drivers seat and the stiching you can see comming away at the top of the rear passengers side. Could do with a steam clean tho, there was a bit of dust in there I shouldn't have left the windows partly down for so long!

Filters are off the pods, but they are knackered, I will get some replacement GReddy AIRINIX filters asap.

The drivers cloth door trim is in fine shape but it peeled off so I will fix that aswel.

Engine is pretty clean as you can see but it will be oily down below from flushing the residual oil out of the cooling system, I'll try and remember to degrease from underneath best I can before new owner takes delivery.

    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
