As mentioned last night at the meeting there is a Sandown track day being held by FFCC (Ford Four Car Club) in-between now and the next WRX event in July.

Sandown is great as it is close to Melbourne and generally within 30mins of everyone. Yes the walls are close to the track, just keep that in mind when

you press your right foot down.

Date

Sunday 8th May 2011

Price

$170

Requirements

CAMS L2S

CAMS club membership with current sticker (SAU VIC Membership)

Fire Extinguisher

Two bonnet latching mechs (the standard double latch is ok, but for older cars with the single latch no good you need a second with a tie down strap)

Blue battery triangle 150mm x 150mm x 150mm (get yourself some blue contact from the news agency and cut one up!)

Entry Form

lol what? Why didn't you just scan it to PDF and email it? i guess no access to a scanning device.... actually the photo thing isn't a bad idea! :D

Anyway I'll put my entry in after the Easter break, there's a few little things to sort out with the car before I enter. Decided not to do the Midland sprints at Winton the week before, this will give me more time to play around with the car

Yep it's a standard sprint day. Grouped according to estimated lap time (0 time if you are new).

I would suggest putting your lap time on the form under modifications, if you are new to sandown put that down.

5-7 12minute session

They run a pace car that exists the track with the next group behind it as the last car from the previous group crosses the finish line and does their cool down lap.

    • The smart approach is to use the gearbox loom from the manual car. Makes it a lot easier - just plugs into the switches on the box and plugs into the main loom up near the fusebox. Then you only need to deal with bypassing the inhibit switch. The other approach requires you to use the wiring diagram to identify those wires by colour and location, perhaps even indulging in a little multimeter action to trace them end to end to make sure, and then.... you will have the answers you need. The R34 wiring diagram is available on-line (no, I do not have a link to it myself - I would have to do a search if I wasn't able to go to the copy I have at home).

    • @TurboTapin hey man thank you for all the info! I am about to order my cd00a today for a rb25 neo s15 build I am currently trying to get the ball rolling again on 😁 what is wrong with the Collin’s adapter? Is the bellhousing machining 15mm because that’s how thick the Collin’s adapter is or is that universal across any I decide to go with? Also do you recommend any adapter in particular? Thanks man 😃
    • Nice, looks good. Is the roof painted or wrapped? Welcome!
