I don't need tyre shops... when are yours ready to be finished?

B-man... whiteline kit and locker worked a treat... speak to power play.. they can get you one I'm sure... think it was around $400 for the diff, then fitting!

Great day guys, I really enjoyed it

Thanks to Pete and Aaron for holding the day, and Chris for hooking me up with dorifto tyres!!

Eliminated in the first round of the drift comp though, what's the deal with that!!! Maybe everyone was just amazed the torrie didn't spin out - I saw him in my rearview mirror and thought "wow nicely held!". :)

Guys,

I have about 1.5 hours of raw footage + incar from Dan's camera. I will be working on getting this together in an edited version ready for the next monthly dinner.

I will start a thread when its ready, should be great as I got some great footage from the end of the bridge :headspin:

Nice... I just remembered I forgot to get a copy of Pete's FD1 DVD yesterday, are there any spares?

I've got an hour of incar footage from my camera so I might post a short clip or two - or I can give you some DV files for the DVD Mal (if any of it looks decent!!)

you want pics?

600 coming at you, I might try and sort by car first.

Also thanks to Benm heaps of video to rip as well.

Great day out guys, its a shame there weren't a few more competitors tho

and I even won my first drift comp...all be it with a busted rear tyre!!!

That last lap was a classic. I was trying to get as close as possible to make it look good, your tyre was sparking like an angle grinder, I'm pissing myself laughing, your father-in-law's saying "Watch out, his tyre's almost had it!" and I see you look back at me as I'm coming at your driver's door. :looney:

Top fun and well organised. It was great that we got heaps of track time, and still had plenty of time to watch or change tyres between runs.

Bring on...

FDD3!

now stop giving me sh1t dan, here's some pics.

We've taken plenty so everyone that competed should be in here somewhere

Bloody oath... was so funny, I'm drifting through the last coner thinking that 180 must be there somewhere... I'm in like second gear at about 2.5 3 thousand RPM TOTALLY SIDEWAYS cause there was just NO grip! :bahaha: But I couldn't give up... Top Driving to by the way, I wasn't worried about you hitting me at all, and especially top effort seeing as that car is stock! :)

Oh and how good was the trophy!!! I'll post up a pick soon, just modifying it a little! :)

Great day and have to concur... When is FDD3?

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
