Ok,

So I have recently decided to move away from my project HR31 Skyline Coupe.

I am really on the lookout for a C110 Coupe or possibly a 240Z. I want a project, so unregistered, not running is fine - but living in TAS makes it even harder than most. How often do these come up?

Any help or guidance appreciated.

Cheers.

I know what you mean,

They don't come up very often. but I did missed out on one in Hobart about 5 years ago.

my first (4 door - $1500ish )one wasn't to hard, but I brought that 8-10 years ago (2002)

my second (4 door - $700ish )one took 2 years, a old woman had it,( I did ask if she wanted to sell it when I first saw it ),she had her license taken of her 2 years later, then I got that (2008),

my third (2 door - $750ish) one took me 6 years to find , turned out my brother knew a guy who had it in his car port for 10 years, I got that late 2009

But I can say, to my knowledge, I'm the only person on the North West who has one ( 3 ).

Nigel

  • 2 weeks later...

I've got 2x 2 doors I'm selling plus a BUCKET load of parts. I'm going in inventory them this week and get a listing up. I've got a 2 door which has been dissembled plus a running blue 2 door which is in quite good condition. I've got spare doors, bonnets, boot lids, lights, chrome, interiors, manual gear boxes, manual pedal boxes etc etc. I've also got genuine C110 GTR tail lights, BRAND NEW (NOS) tail light surround with badges and GTR horn pad out of Japan. I've even got an LD28 Crank. I'm talking a HEAP of parts.

I've run out of time and I'm too busy with my business to ever start this project so I'm moving it all. I'd like to sell it all as one package

Some pics of the parts are listed in my old for sale thread in my signature.

I have a possible 2 door C110 in TAS, but your white one would definitely be on the cards if that falls through. Would be worth the trip for the car + parts. Will let you know when I know.

Same q: You selling the blue one?

Yes I'm selling the complete running blue car also, no rego no RWC but it's in quite good condition and has been kept dry since purchase in 2009.

I am going to list the blue car as is and the white car (dismantled) with all the extra parts bundled. I'm not looking to sell individual parts as it's just such a ball ache and too time consuming so at this stage, please don't ask.

Someone will come out with a ripper of a GTR rep, kinda makes me sad as it wont be me :(

I have a HUGE amount of parts as you can see in the library below, they are being stored in an old house to be demolished on a block my old man is developing -

http://s1184.photobucket.com/albums/z321/adzmax/Parts%20for%20sale/

I have 3 sets of doors, 2 bonnets 2 boot lids, multiples of front and rear bumpers, lights, interior parts, lots of complete sets of chrome including eye brows in good condition, trim, seats, manual peddle box, gear box and shifter etc, clusters, rubber, loom, petrol tank etc ect etc.

I also have some pretty desirable stuff in fantastic condition -

Black dash with no cracks

Glove box

Steering wheel surrounds with perfect air vents etc

A JDM cluster with JDM boost gauge

An complete Air Conditioning set-up from a local delivered 240K...mmmm aircon

Kicker plates

Perfect condition centre console with no cuts (not pictured)

JDM C110 Skyline front grill

I also have some items I'll sell separately which I also brought out from Japan and I'll sell for cost ex freight -

Genuine C110 GTR Horn Pad - 18,000¥ ($250)

Showroom condition (NOS) C110 GTR genuine tail light surround with "Skyline" and "GTR" badges - 84,000¥ ($1175)

Genuine C110 GTR Tail lights - 48,500¥ ($678)

I'll get an ad up soon and link, I'm trying to work out prices at the moment which is bloody hard and I don't want to be a dreamer. All I want to do it recover what I paid, 4k for blue car and 3k for white car all and parts.

Yeah I figured the same. Just like you guys, I don't like seeing people asking stupid prices though so it's good to at least get an opinion prior to listing.

I'll been overwhelmed with work at the moment so I'll take some pictures of the JDM stuff. A lot of it is at my parents place in storage so I'll need to pop over. I'll be sure to let you know when it's up.

    • Can I suggest you try EBC directly again and link them to as many competitor catalogues as you can to show their listing is incorrect, eg https://dba.com.au/product/front-4000-series-hd-brake-rotor-dba42304/ If you have access to an R33 GTST VIN and your VIN, you could also use a Nissan Parts lookup like Amayama to show them the part number is different between 33 GTST and 34 GTT which may get their attention
    • So i got reply from EBC and they just this site where you can clearly see those 296mm fronts on R34 GTT. I send them photos and "quotes" that 296mm are not for 34 GTT and they are too small. But it will be very hard to return them cuz nobody here knows 100% and they just copy those EBC catalogue :-D https://ebcbrakesdirect.com/automotive/nissan/skyline-r34
    • Hi, is the HKS  Tower Bar still available ? negotiable ? 🤔
    • From there, it is really just test and assemble. Plug the adapter cables from the unit into the back of the screen, then the other side to the car harness. Don't forget all the other plugs too! Run the cables behind the unit and screw it back into place (4 screws) and you should now have 3 cables to run from the top screen to the android unit. I ran them along the DS of the other AV units in the gap between their backets and the console, and used some corrugated tubing on the sharp edges of the bracket so the wires were safe. Plug the centre console and lower screen in temporarily and turn the car to ACC, the AV should fire up as normal. Hold the back button for 3 sec and Android should appear on the top screen. You need to set the input to Aux for audio (more on that later). I put the unit under the AC duct in the centre console, with the wifi antenna on top of the AC duct near the shifter, the bluetooth antenna on the AC duct under the centre console The GPS unit on top of the DS to AC duct; they all seem to work OK there are are out of the way. Neat cable routing is a pain. For the drive recorder I mounted it near the rear view mirror and run the cable in the headlining, across the a pillar and then down the inside of the a pillar seal to the DS lower dash. From there it goes across and to one USB input for the unit. The second USB input is attached to the ECUtec OBD dongle and the 3rd goes to the USB bulkhead connected I added in the centre console. This is how the centre console looks "tidied" up Note I didn't install the provided speaker, didn't use the 2.5mm IPod in line or the piggyback loom for the Ipod or change any DIP switches; they seem to only be required if you need to use the Ipod input rather than the AUX input. That's it, install done, I'll follow up with a separate post on how the unit works, but in summary it retains all factory functions and inputs (so I still use my phone to the car for calls), reverse still works like factory etc.
    • Place the new daughterboard in the case and mount it using the 3 small black rivets provided, and reconnect the 3 factory ribbon cables to the new board Then, use the 3 piggyback cables from the daughterboard into the factory board on top (there are stand offs in the case to keep them apart. and remember to reconnect the antenna and rear cover fan wires. 1 screw to hold the motherboard in place. Before closing the case, make a hole in the sticker covering a hole in the case and run the cable for the android unit into the plug there. The video forgot this step, so did I, so will you probably. Then redo the 4 screws on back, 2 each top and bottom, 3 each side and put the 2 brackets back on.....all ready to go and not that tricky really.
