The whingers are on NS... doesn't that say it all?

There was in car footage from the Stag cruise, I have it here if you want it Vu. There was no dyno runs though, not sure where that came from?

I like the suggestion on NS of having a graphic with tech specs though, that'd be cool.

As I said at the cruise, I have access to broadcast quality HD cameras, HD in car cameras and broadcast quality audio gear. I also have access to people if you want extra camera angles etc, and some TV connections if you want to go down that route.

I like the style, I like the idea, happy to help if the help is wanted

Had a quick look at that link.........there was only one real idiot on there that had nothing to offer..."KRANZE"

Even Nisskid, who can be quite negative at times, offered some good constructive criticism.

There were a couple of other haters on there as well but no one stood out as much as that first clown (aka "Ted180")

was gonna say who was the one stag that was in forwards? haha top work guys... goodluck for the rest of the episodes

That would of been Shelly RSVSTAG. I think she was the only female driver of the day. :whistling:

I prefer it more on here, forum is way more relaxed and matured. The dyno which I mentioned as well was in the first episode. It would be good to see the dyno run and have the chart appear on the camera.

I'm looking forward to seeing ep3.

Your mate!

personally i cant stand the show.

That's understandable - it's not for everyone. The show was kind of designed from our 'point of view' of things so it may not be to everyone's taste - Kahli thought the second episode was better than the first episode, but everyone else on NS preferred the first episode...

would like to see some longer episodes, even 10 mins?

We thought 5 minutes would be a nice number seeing as though it's not too long and not too short - something that can be seen quickly - like a run down of things. Although, someone on NS mentioned even 5 minutes was too long!

This second episode was a bit rushed I may say - we didn't get to re-shoot the feature car scene until it was perfect as I'd like because Kristian is very busy - it was hard enough organizing a time to suit us 3, and that was why the lack of an in-car footage driving around. And Kahli was busy and couldn't attend the cruise or the drift school so couldn't do too much there as I'd like either.

Thanks for the offer, there was something I'm wanting to try out - having a camera mounted at the front of the car, would those RadCams be ideal for it and do you sell those RadCams or? - and TV sounds pretty advance stuff lol I don't think my editing skills or Kahli's hosting skills are quite up to scratch just yet and not to mention the amount more effort and time required for each episode!

Radcam should be fine, depending on the car. Go Pros can sometimes be better for external stuff because they're an all in one unit (except there's no screen so you can't line up a good shot >_< ). This was filmed on a Radcam HD in the front bumper of a WRX:

TV might be advanced, but if you plan towards it you can shoot shorter videos, 5-10 minutes, with the plan on combining a few of them together, then look at TV once you've got a 10 episode season together. You can also talk to some of the editors we use and get some tips.

Does take a long time, but you might aim to produce one whole season over the course of the year? Who knows. Depends on how much time you've got an how seriously you want to take the project.

That Radcam looks decent. I've got a Go Pro and that's killer though. Records in 1080p but to me it looks blurred and washed out compared to 720p. $250 from the states with all accessories for mounting, cables for TV and USB charger. Good for general sporting activities where you can't use a screen to line up a shot but usually you can guess where the shot will take a pic / footage.

    • CTIS (Central Tire Inflation System) has existed since the 80's. I'm looking into buying a Hummer H1 and they generally included it.
    • My idle is set at 950rpm though - Moving the timing around 20 degrees is not really what I'd call a calm idle. That said... neither is chop, by definition. The LS ECU likes to adjust timing to hold idle as opposed to air. It'd work, but generally speaking there'd be a discrepancy in the base idle and the IACV would want to move the timing around anyway to maintain said idle. I think I'm just going to keep the timing steady anyway. Preserve my engine mounts.  My aircon is now officially regassed. As the guy was reversing I noticed my reverse lights do not operate, along with my reverse cam. This is a bit distressing, because 100% of guides talk about which wire to connect to backup cams as "the goes with the [other color] wire". Often when doing conversions. Unfortunately the R34 colour wires aren't documented Unfortunately I had a T56 Magnum gearbox with it's reverse switch, which also isn't documented. Unfortunately there's definitely not documentation for people with both of these in the one car. Unfortunately I forgot. After many hours of this, I have a reverse cam and reverse lights again. The wire going through the trans tunnel to the reverse switch had broken. Upon inspection, it looks like this one wire had about 7 spade terminals and extensions in it.. for reasons I cannot possibly comprehend. I also spent the 750 hours required to clean up the wiring behind my head unit which now looks like this: This is a monumental improvement relative to what used to be there WRT triple gauges, head unit, traction control, wideband controller, and whatever the f**k OEM stuff still exists there in various states of connectivity/needed. Next step is to check in at the Exhaust shop to see/confirm how much clearance I have, to decide what mid mufflers or 'resonators' (which are just straight through, narrower mufflers) I can add and hopefully cut out a lot of exhaust leaks, pinhole, v-band or otherwise. But first step will be to 'take a look' before the next step.
    • Fark the AFM card and Nistune, Haltech Nexus S3, DBW, cruise control, flex fuel, dis dat.
    • It's most likely the bolt/bush where the cover bolts back wore and allowed cover to move forward.
    • Still haven't put the injectors and R35 AFM in so we can tune the bloody thing for the HG highflow it got mid last year! I think I can forecast the upgrade path to a bigger twin scroll, external gate, Haltech, flex setup, Samsonas, dis dat, etc will be .... a while away!
