Hey guys, reporting in from Canada, BC. Picked up another 4 door sedan !

This one is a red top SR20DET with an S14 turbo. The car was a little bit of an exciting pick up because it seems the previous owner didn't know much about the car when he brought it over. I've found the car came with a Greddy profec, 255lph fuel pump, upgraded injectors ( not sure of the size but they drain the ol gas tank pretty quickly ), 2 way rear locking diff, 3" turbo back exhaust, cooler box in the glove box :O.

The swap was done very very clean over in japan, the boys at Forcefed performance out here said no one could pull off a clean SR swap like this in Canada -- I was glad to hear this !

I'm looking at doing a GTR rear bumper and side skirts. I was looking for some information on the fitment, couldn't find anything -- probably my search fail :)

If anyone knows how the fitment is on the GTR side skirts and rear bumper, please let me know !

Thanks guys

I've been more of a lurker on the forums here than a poster :D

Glad to be back in an R32 !

A GT-R rear bar is no more aesthetically pleasing than the stock 4-door one and would require modification (coupe rear lights and other bits, and nothing lines up properly anyway).

The skirts on a GT-R aren't much to look at either (and also won't fit without modification).

You're better off finding the stock aero skirts to go with the 4-door and some rear pods on a stock rear bar.

Nice purchase by the way!

Any other questions just ask. :D

I'll take a look for some different side skirts and scrap the GTR Idea :)

I've been told the uras kit makes my car look too boxy -- and rightfully so ( on a side view ) Before I bought this car I wasn't a fan of the uras kit, so I think I've just got a case of the " I love it how it looks cause its mine " ;)

Thanks guys,

Its the trick of the camera angle. When you view the car on a direct side view or a rear - side view, the kit is a bit extreme. I definitely picked the best picture for it ! thats for certain :) it hides the extreme angles of the kit.

very nice, i wouldnt change the kit thats on it. Looks good how it is

You could pull the kit off but you'd have to run some wider rims and slam it!

How do you guys go about importing parts from Japan? Do you use Jesse Streeter as well? He would be your best bet for finding the aero parts as you probably won't find much in Canada hey...

Yeah I'm looking for a more clean GTR side skirt sort of deal, a local guy here has a set of "N1" side skirts, looks good. As for a rear bumper I think lll look for a stock bumper and go with a lip or I'll get creative and see what else I can come up with.

I'm open to suggestions :) I love pics guys, if you have an idea for me post a pic and lets see it ! I use to have an Aero body kit on my old silver one.

We have a number of guys to source parts from directly from Japan over on " GTR Canada ".

I'll dig some up after I get home from work. :)

Got hundreds of 4dr 32's alone so I'll try and post a few ideas.

When you say you'll go for a stock bumper and lip, do you mean boot lip or rear bumper lip?

I've wanted a rear bumper lip forever, precisely a Cross Factory one which have been discontinued for years and basically impossible to get your hands on.

I want something which are like rear pods, but wrap around the bottom of the rear bar and join up with the pods if you know what I mean.

Sorry for the hijack but if we are after the same thing we might be able to help each other out. :D

BTW, Eastbear make 'N1 style' skirts specifically for the 4dr. Not sure how easy you'd be able to get some of those either.

Sounds good, I'd love to see some pictures !

Yeah I'm also looking for a full wrap around rear lip :) I haven't seen any so I figured they are rare to come by ( this is why I was hoping for some other ideas ! ) I thought perhaps I could get creative and mix match a kit that flows together nicely with the GTR front end.

haha sorry but slammed and wider wheels? from what i can see the guards are full as it is and the car is what 3-4cm off the ground :unsure:

Are you serious? I'm trying to find the clip, not sure which hashiriya it's in. Let me know if you can pin point it I'd love to see it !

I have a DVD at home which features this car sliding down mountains I think...

It used to have "HEY MAN!!!"

On the sun strip... The DVD is called hashiriya afaik

Cmon it's not even tucking any tyre lol.

I'm not saying this is daily-able but there is plenty of room for wider rims and slammage.

This is how you pull it off. I know it's BN kit but same principle.

And here's a more subtle approach.

I think I have some pictures of a 2-door rear light conversion but I really don't see the point?

The coupe conversion is possible but takes abit of welding and stuff

heres a link to a guide on how too ... really not worth the effort or money

personally i want some of these made up

relocate it into the centre with the reverse light

ive pulled mine out and all that would need to be done is a orange small globe/led's rewired to original wiring and just superglued to the reflecter where the reverse light is attached.

or if you wanted to get really creative you could get a piece of wood (ones with holes in them) and wire top half of wires to the indicators (orange globes) and bottom half to reverse lights (white globes)

    • For fuelling the Haltechs have O2WB fuel controllers. Very useful for helping tuning VE and correcting for *small* mistakes. Of course if your injector/cam/trigger/sensor data is just wrong (or for a GTT which is not a GT) then you will get impossible reactions to things. I am sure you know this already but the reason people don't typically put haltechs (or any Aftermarket ECU) on GT's is because there's practically no real gains to be had - So this knowledge won't be commonplace.
    • Can someone tell me if the cracks seen in the rear sway bar bushings in these photo's is unacceptable from a roadworthy point of view?
    • Shouldn't need a "base map" for anything other than guidance to ignition tuning. You just need the engine capacity right, the injector size right, and something, almost anything, for a VE map. On an NA engine, fuelling is almost completely a function of load signal & rpm. It should run and drive with a completely flat fuel map. It will be too lean under load, but that's easily fixed. We used to tune all ECUs without any base map. There were no such things (until someone had tuned a near stock engine on one, and then they had a "base map".
    • What did you actually buy/how much did it cost? When I got mine in like.. 2017...? 2019? the aim was to run Torque for gauges via ODB2 and things like Track Addict/Laptimers/Dashcam/Reversecam/Spotify etc. Mine never broke, but I wonder if you've got the same needs (it sounds like it). Cause I liked the idea of being able to do anything with it. That said, yours also cost 3x the cost of what I spent so... food for thought.
    • For me there is a massive difference in manufacturer or big brand crippled android (Sony, Kenwood etc) vs the sort of thing I've installed here, which is basically just a tablet in DIN form factor with open Android, and the other model of course is mirroring - Android Auto/Carplay. I hate the locked down manufacturer and AA options where they decide what apps I'm allowed to install, including the Launcher but also importantly things like Ecutek (for this car) or Real Dash (Stagea) are not supported. Plus those crippled versions tend to be slower due to both overheads and lower spec hardware. On the other hand, when this breaks I'll likely be in trouble for support....but how is that different to owning an Infiniti anyway
