OK...we know Ruby had a try with a June date...so here goes....

Some of you know us and our many charity cruises with "that other forum"

We previously mentioned we would like to organise a winter cruise with a Pub lunch included

I found a hills pub today that is happy to give us a private room (no charge) and a 3 course lunch for $19/head....

we will have 3 choices, ring our choices through to them on the morning & your lunch will be waiting for you

(in the private room) when you arrive.

So lets have a crack at it,would you like to join us on a 2.5hr cruise followed by lunch

then a 40min cruise back to the metro ?

If you bring your kids, OLD Jules will have a surprise for them to enjoy on the drive. If the G/F, partner, missus

usually stays at home...then this is one for her too. No we wont be driving hard...but there are some interesting roads

included....YES that will mean, it will (then be) camera/video friendly...Ryan

"the OLDS" - Jules & Mark

PS...no this is not a charity cruise...just a family friendly cruise

Put us down as a maybe- new baby and all, we'll be right at the back this time if we come

Will vote later when we've had some sleep and can make an informed desicion

Its the OLDs from the custom inports video. Ill have to get your autograph. The first 3 weekends are good for me. Ill be the same Glenn, if I can talk the wife into coming this time Ill be behind the pack with the newest baby stagea member aswell. Jules might need a few rattles for the kids. Ha Ha.

Cant wait maybe the pub will attract a record number.

This will be a "Rain, Hail or Shine Cruise"...as we have managed a warm private room

I should get the menu today & will throw it up. We are hoping the "slower, nanna pace" and the "family...everyone is invited" will give this small section of SAU (& the media) a

different perspective. (...not suggesting all cruises should be this way)

"us OLD peeps"

GUYS...can I suggest we lock in a main meal from Menu 1 or 2 on the day

...those wanting the full package can indicate it on arrival, it's just

the main meals in a small hotel take a while...apologies I got my prices confused in my first post (go easy Im OLD)

(so on route we will ring them, with an ETA & your main meal order)

I would LOVE to join you Mark & Jules. However my stagea bottom end has finally said enough is enough (track day april 11 lost ringlands to piston#5); being towed on Monday for a budget bottom end replacement. Wish I had the funds to do it properly, but in a hard state at the moment in regards to money, the pension supplies barely enough to eat and pay for power bills :(

Lets LOCK IN the date !....will make it easier for everyone, so it is now

SUNDAY 17th JULY

...please disregard the poll (I can't delete it maybe Ruby or someone else can)

OLD Mark

PS...please let us know if you can't make it on that date.

    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
    • Yeah, I would have said the same. It makes me suggest that there are other things wrong, such that the ECU is totally unhappy with the broken sensor. The only other thought here is that maybe it is shorted, which might cause a different issue to the typical "disconnected" sensor.
