Nascar rules! (already wearing my flame suit!) rather watch super taxi's and nascar over F1.... =D

and I think V8's in the states seems like a ok idea, but the fact its going to be taken away from tassie, uhh they are talking what, singapore, texas, already in the middle east, china? NZ. its almost not australian touring cars anymore is it? or am i wrong?

and I know they have stickers for headlamps etc, and they are made from sheet metal, much like a letterbox, but atleast nascar has more than 2 manafacturers! chevrolet, Ford, dodge, toyota. sticker or not, would love to see more than poxy holden and ford.

they have completely different cars for 'road racing' than ovals. they turn equally well (or equaly badly?) both directions.

They have different cars for the short & long ovals aswell.

The technology in Nascar is actually right up there. People look at the cars & sneer but the workshop engineering and preparation is every bit as good & beeter than our local stuff. Shaker rigs, predictive software the whole lot. They just cant get feedback from car sensors so there is no closing of the loop.

Dont you wish V8sc would just invest money here and race? sick of this company sucking the money out of the aussie racing scene..

Lets just read that again! Whilst we have lost a few fixed tracks, it seems all the growth of V8s has meant street races or OS races. Shame it hasnt resulted in any local tracks being built.

Wasnt Wakefield talking major developments a whiel back that would make it longer etc?
