Rust Solving

No one likes it, not everyone has it. But I do and it makes me cry, Is there anything I can do to fight the signs of rust and stop them from getting worse or prevent more from turning up. Mine seems to be turning up near the wheels on the side skirts and in the boot? Is there a spray over it option or a use some molding over then spray? really no idea myself.

There is stuff called rust converter. You can buy it at supercheap. Converts the rust to a paintable primer. Then get some touch up paint and you'll be good. Unless it started to go under the paint then there's no hope.

you need to reseal all your seams/boot rain gutters/ windows/ tail lights/ fuel door area etc with salifex or similar. the old stuff just cracks and wears away after 10-15 years or so

^^ plenty rust converters out there . . a good one that ive used before is called RANEX, follow the instructions and you cant go wrong

Cheers guys, Ill double check its all sealed where possible then give them a go, Itd be a sad sad way to see my car go like that so im going to put up a fight nice and early! =]

iv noticed my boot sometimes fills up with water a little bit :S now its a tad rusty aswel...

checked out all the sealant etc andits all still stuck on, i cant find where the water is coming in from...

should i go knock back the rust that is already present and cover that with some protectionism,

then wait to see if i can find streaks next time it happens as i will clean my boot when addressing the rust in there?

Ha yer I had no idea where it came from so I just siliconed the whole general area (in a neat way) in a hope it would stop. Its worked so far im assuming, but it hasnt rained yet
