overtired post just before bed.

couldnt think of anything clever to go with this link

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2029691/Mechanics-cheeky-spin-Ferrari-F40-owner-away-ends-300-000-disaster.html

but jesus what is it with these silly buggers not being able to help themselves? off the top of my head i can think of a Veyron getting destroyed by the owners errant younger brother in the UK. a Fezza getting stolen from Crown Casino in melbourne with the assistance of some dopey valets, some cops in the US destroying a Ferrari while 'transporting' it to an impound lot, some other idiot american comedian crashing one at a promo for the awful film Redline..the list goes on im sure..

I dont know about these other guys but if i had one i would keep the keys in a safe when they werent in my pocket or the ignition..

f**king hell. did it have to be another F40. my 2 favourite cars of all time (F40 and Maclaren F1) are dropping like flies at the moment. it's making my chance of owning 1 of each slimmer and slimmer by the day!

You think that's bad - how bout this

http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1065485_tamara-ecclestone-gets-ferrari-599-gto-from-boyfriend-video

Tamara Ecclestone gets a 599 GTO from her boyfriend. Oh damn.

Hangon.. paris had a LFA??

funnily enough, the ferrari factory has all the required expertise to fix any of the fezza's that get stacked, like they've currently got going on with their restoration scheme...i don't think that any of the high desirable ones would end up in a scrap yard...if they did, that's just poor motoring...

poor F40 :(

I don't understand how these people crash them, No word of a lie i drove a lambo on my L's. You pretty soon learn to respect a car like that. Do they think they are superman or something.

how does someone crash a hyundai excel? usually a mix of not paying attention and running out of talent. in the case of the mechanic in the ferrari, the story says the car was on original (20 or so years old) tyres. they would be rock hard and have bugger all grip. might as well be driving in the rain on slicks

    • Yes, I know🙄 but the sequential is not in my budget... don't want to reduce power neither, so looks like I'm stuck in the rabbit hole🤣
    • You’ll be very upset when you bust that too not to mention the gearing totally sucks. Don’t do it.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
