Hey guys, i just picked up a bottle of the Nu Finish Cling Spray Shine, after a quick wash (car was only waxed about 2 weeks ago)

and a dry off you just mist it on, wipe over it with a cloth then pretry much instanty wipe again. For only being 14.99 a bottle i was quite happy with the results.

If anyone else has tried it id be interested in feedback/alternative spray quick shines, Thanks :)

I cant say anything about the Nu finish spray, But Iv been using the Meguiars Ultimate quick wax, Its awsome stuff, A little more expensive but if ur just seeing whats out there i would deffnitly suggest giving it ago.

Righto Dunk ill look into it, im almost out of the nu finish so ill give the Meguiars a go next time

+1 for FI :)

but off the shelf products i do like autoglym products, followed by megs/mothers

noone i love waxes that can be applied without drying, i use them on all my other cars.. but only the best for the skyline :P

i believe FI is releasing a spray wax sooner though .. meant to be similar to OCW which is another great spray wax

Nu finish is the devil. I had to paint a good mates bumper for him. He's the most over the top person when it comes to cleaning his cars (i never thought that could be a bad thing). The bar was painted three times because of the amount of silicon that the new finish left behind. Even after prepsol/wax n grease and correct prep work was done. In the end we degreased the living sh#t out of it and it was fine. Third time lucky i spose. Thats just my 2c anyway. If it was me I'd stick with the same as Jonno34 as far as off the shelf stuff goes.

From a chemist's perspective, if a person were to apply over time 4 different polishes > 4 different sealants etc, what's to say that the chemical of one might react with another from a different brand name; and through their incompatibility generate some marks or even flaking?

Has this ever happened?

I mean, if one used a process where Auto Glym was used throughout, or another guy was to use Menzerna throughout & a third guy was to use Meguiars throughout: each product would be compatible with another from the same brand. But surely these companies might end up using chemicals that are incompatible with chemicals from a different brand perhaps?

And if there was an incompatibility? What's the likelihood that the last product applied was blamed for some markings when in fact the product underneath it was the chemical 'time bomb'?

Heck I've even come across two skin creams that needed to be applied to the patients skin where cream A had to be applied throughout the day & the other called B shouldn't. So B had to be applied at night after washing.

Thoughts? > Experiences?

^ i used to be worried about that too, so whenever I bought new products I'd buy a whole companys lineup ..

was usually meguiars back then, and id pick products so that it was mostly all "nxt" stuff etc.

since starting to use FI stuff i went to a mostly FI range of products.

but FI does/used to sell alot of products that were not developed themselves, so the whole brand incompatibility might be disproved by that logic .. I use a range of brands now though, FI keep discontinuing products on their online store that have to be replaced with other brands while their still developing their new product pinch.gif so far I haven't had any problems using different brands of waxes, wash solution etc with my FI stuff :)

(ps did the coilovers arrive yet? - it was meant to arrive before xmas apparently ..)

Damn :( I called up and they told me it would arrive at yours by christmas since I sent it off early in the day :(

hope they arrive soon and you're happy with them!

back to topic now action-smiley-069.gif

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
