Hey guys was bleeding brake fluid the other night, finished up and the next morning had a look in the engine bay and noticed a bit of my paint was missing under the reservoir, I must have spilled some and not noticed.

I wiped it with water straight away (well 12 hours after really)

My question is, can it do anymore damage as it sat there for a while or is it all good.

Heard that if not caught straight away it will keep eating away the paint over time...

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

No, it will be fine once you've wiped it off.

But....if you have lost paint, it is more likely to be a slow leak at the master cylinder or brake booster than due to you spilling it while bleeding. Have you been noticing the fluid level dropping in the brake system?

Just had a good look there is no leak. Once the paint brake fluid dries the damage would stop wont it.

Ie. If I dropped it on the paint and it took 10 minutes to dry the damage is done. Or does it need water to contact it for it to stop?
