I have a question in regards to the HKS oil cooler & relocator kit, cant find an install manual or instructions after a crapload of searching so wondering if anyone has one installed on an RB and can tell me how the lines connect up.

This is in regards to the filter block mount (thermostat type) been trying to work out how the flow works but really isn't making any sense to me... looks like it will always flow the oil through the cooler regardless?

Cheers

Hmm if it does always flow to the cooler that makes a bit of sense. Just looking at the block, where the thermostat is located & the channels it connects to id love to see a diagram of how the flow works inside.

OK think i have it sussed, stole this pic from GTR.co.uk - my one doesn't have letters on the filter block.

F = inlet from outer connection of sandwich plate

E = return to center of sandwich plate

C = in & out cooler connections

Sound about right?

yep F is from engine to filter mount. E is return to engine. the two C's are cooler in and cooler out. not sure how it works inside but most will completely bypass the cooler core when oil is cold and gradually allow more flow to the core as engine approaches operating temp (usually 80C).
