The Import Monster SAU Nationals is fast approaching!!!

As a few of us are going up Sunday for the Show'n'Shine specifically, I thought I'd organise a cruise up there for everyone in the morning to get a huge convoy going.

This is not an official SAU-Vic event, just a cruise up as a group.

Cost is $5 to enter the Show'n'Shine if you haven't already. Thousands of dollars in giveaways and plenty of trophies!

You can pre-enter online: http://www.saunats2011.com/entries/

When: 30th October 2011

Time: Meet 7:45am, departing at 8am

Show'n'Shine entry starts at 9:30am and it'll take approx 1.5hrs to drive up

Where: BP Service Station at Wallan – 1015 Hume Hwy

Hope to see you there!

Cruising on Sunday:

shit that's early ill do my best as id rather cruise up with others but fark me thats early.

If you rock up late you won't be able to enter, that's the issue as 80% of entrants are already in Shepp.

Shepp is about a 2hr 10-20min drive from the CBD. So given S'n'S entry is 9.30am... 8am is the appropriate time to leave Wallan and will get you there around 9:45am.

If most of the people are already in Shepp...wouldn't it be easier if us Sunday travellers came at 10 so it gives you time to get the 80% of entrants ready and in position?

If we come to early, we'll just be waiting in queue.

Just a thought...

Spaces will be pre-marked on the ground etc. I'm doing that with Anna a few days earlier so should be a pretty fast affair to line cars up

You getting there @ 10am means you leave @ 6:45 from what you've said, so realistically thats no difference.

Plus it'll probably be 10am by the time you guys get there anyway as there is always someone late/having car trouble :P

Lol oh dw I'll be there at 7:45am. Was just a thought to save people from waiting in queue but Ash has it covered.

It's 115km from my house to the Wallan BP lol. They better sell lots of red bull!

i'm just coming for a geeze not entering my car or anything but i'm sure ill make it just have an early night

lol well don't leave your place till 9am or something then? :P

SIF be homo and cruise alone though, that's something Clutch would do

    • HFM BM57 has a "bad" knee point, IIRC. It's not the same thing as the later R chassis MC.
    • The ATTESSA is functionally identical to R34; there were a bunch of JDM models that continued ATTESSA including Fuga/Q70, Skyline/Q50, Cima etc as an option. All with Auto only and I think mostly for snow regions. AFAIK there were no AWD VR30DDTT sold in Australia - it is on my to do list to check regs for racing a LHD car in Targa/ATR/AASA/CAMS events because if I can get the auto to work it would be interesting to run a 4wd car The Ecuteck TCM tuning is the same model as their ECU tuning, they already have it for R35 and Dose's favourite, BMW. You buy "points" to allow your computer to be tuned, buy either a bluetooth (phone app) or bluetooth+USB+Key (phone and PC) dongle, and pay for a tune that will be locked to your tuner ( ). You can also access the tuning software yourself but 1. it is mega expensive and 2. these computers have a billion parameters that intersect, so how could you ever spend enough time on it to get a decent result.
    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
