Drag Combat @Calder Park This Sat & Drinks Afterwards!

A little late notice but....

On Saturday a few of us are going to Calder Park. Events include drag racing, quarter mile time trials, Motorcana (on grass), Grab a flag (on grass/dirt) and laps around the Thunderdome. We are going to be there 11am.

Best part is we are having drinks afterwards at Watergardens hotel pub corner of Keilor Melton Highway and Kings Road. This is going to be after we have all had our fill of fun for the day.

Esternats is on this weekend

The title from Calder Park is "DRAG COMBAT". This is a 3 day event, starting on Friday and finishing on Sunday.

I beleive there is prize money for 1st and 2nd placings in the following events:

- 1/4 mile.

- Go-to-Whao

- Motocana

Entrants will also be allowed access to the flat track and the Thunderdome.

Personally i perfer this more than the EasterNats, as this event is more foccased on entrant participation, rather than spectating.

When you go to the SummerNats, in Canberra, (year after year) the Easter and Spring Nats are pretty pale in comparison.

Hmm.. is this the official 'Cabin' Drag Combat?

I was talking to Damien last weekend from Cabin and he said they havent been able to bring the Aust wide Combat to Vic yet.

I think we would have heard more about it if it was the "official" "Drag Combat" series / thingo I am really sick of them coming to Oz and not including Vic I wanna see the HKS GTR without having to fly interstate... dammit! And I want to see it break its own record - 7.6 or whatever it currently is

I was coming back through Calder last night on my way home from Pyramid Hill - didnt realise event was on, muscle cars everywhere LoL - they are NOT street legal dont know how they get away with cruising the streets? :rant

Shivam and myself went to enter yesterday, but once we heard the $100 car entry fee i laughed and we did a u-turn out of there. Went to the pub for 1/2 the day .

yah the pub was good fun. I especially like the mischief we got up to later on when it rained (what a blessing!!)
