Hi I'm thinking of selling my r33 skyline 1994 turbo with low km's spare engine I bought just needs to be fitted cause I got stuffed around at the mechanics and he blew my motor all pistons and rings with all the new spare parts I bought and he never told me and was just gonna dodge me anyways so I got my car home before he stuffed it more and now I had to buy a low ks turbo motor which I might fit this week and got a spare rb25 engine i probly try get built to a tomei 2.8l stroked engine if I don't sell and also I bought with it.I got 770cc nismo injectors, apexi power fc,new front mount intercooler kit, new heavy duty clutch, GT35r turbo with big waist gate and polished manifold not a cheap one two I payed 2500 for the turbo kit and it pushes mad power and is still like brand new. Car is registered and heaps more parts I got like spare turbos and more and I'll sell for pretty cheap so my offer Is 8000 ono 0423069257 All this is my loss your gain u can get a good r33 with heaps of parts and my mechanic who stuffed me around can hook u up with heaps of parts cheap and half price if u get cause he deserves to and I can't be bothered with this mess cause I've been waiting months just to drive my manual car so im open to swaps for a turbo man to but straight cause I've already waisted heaps of money on this r33 in the last 8 months and never driven it and have kept it regoed. I'll put pics up this weekend, and can easily put parts back on and boost just needs to be done properly with time and tlc my mechanic just rushed it and acted like he was workin on it bit he just took me for a ride and enjoyed trashing my car as I witnessed when I went there to see him and he took me for mad crazy test drives but kept making excuses that it needed a tune but he couldnt get hold of tuner or some crap just all crap shit I coped these last months from Rvo automatics, ( used to be performance , trust me not any more for sure as u can c , and checkered tuning or status tuning those two rip off places not worth taking your cars there .

haha are you serious? why the hell are you baggin us out? this is the car from RVO i refused to tune.... twice..... first they dropped it off with a big gt35 something turbo and emanage with no injectors... refusal one... then they make excuses and drop it back with injectors and PFC but dodgy piping with massive air leaks like the idle return just hanging in the breeze... it still wasn't tune able so i told them NEVER to bring any cars to me ever again. No one will touch their work now google RVO automatics and you will see how many people have figured out how dodgy they are... that's why you cant get a tune no one will touch their work.

Blame the workshop who did the work, we did nothing except say it wasn't tune-able.... maybe the fact they thrashed the shit out of it with a GT35 on std injectors was the reason it blew up....

AGAIN we did not do any work on this....

Don't stress Trent, that horrifically structured wall of text void of all punctuation is barely coherent anyway - I doubt anyone will read far enough to see the part accusing you of anything lol

I can say that the sentence about Chequered Tuning is NOT CORRECT AT ALL....such a friendly environment as it was my first time been there, treated very well, looked after, been told things to improve and they listen to you....

that hurt my brain reading that..... i like waist gate tho :P you might be better of parting our and do the thread part by part not in one huge essay :s let me know if you have some bigger cams you want to sell

I struggled through that message because im trying to find a rb25det engine... Not sure if there is actually one for sale... can you let me know via pm if you have one in a decent condition please

haha the only reason I even attempted to read it was because I read STATUS reply first...was good for a larf

    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
    • I don't know any details, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they do it as a LHD only version, at least initially.
    • Thanks for the replies everyone. Definitely a coolant push. Oil catch can is empty and always has been. As the engine is out now I'll be having a good look over things. I do have some detonation on the piston tops from a trigger issue back about 5 years ago. I felt it and shut off then bought a new ecu and changed the trigger. Never been an issue since. It never hurt the power, its made almost 80hp more since that incident but I will pull the bearing caps to take a look. If the bearings are damaged I will do a bottom end refresh. Head is being re conditioned at the moment and the block will be cleaned and checked to ensure it's flat. I'll go with a kameari gasket and see how it ends up. The other thing I'm not super keen on is the cylinder colours. I suspect this is from the inlet manifold. The plan will be to put it back together, retune and then stick a plazmaman billet inlet on it and retune. I'm happy with the power, if it makes a little more, then great, but I would rather just make everything more efficient at this stage.
    • Maybe they'll look to do a bunch of presales to help inject some cash fast for their financial issues...
    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
