I have an R33 GTS-4 which is non turbo but is 4WD not rear wheel, handles great and runs great. It is a manual also. Boddy is black and 2 door. Body is in fair condition and could do with a tidy up but mechanically it is great and it has rego.

I a after $6000 and live in Nowra, NSW

1 point is to ensure that it is a genuine factory manual, due to most of the r34's being trip-tronic, alot of home-made conversions are done which can put you in trouble in the future.

trip-tronic ones are just as good though, compared to my manual 32 before my trip-tronic 34 at the moment, i would pick the trip-tronic. its a better daily, especially if your from a city. feels like your driving a manual without clutch.

but whatever floats your boat :). Good luck with finding a good one :).

Sydney :) Really hard to find decent R34's in NSW, but im willing to fly out to buy a good one

You've got that right, but ive got a close to mint turbo one and im in Sydney - so dont be discouraged, there still are a few good R34's left.

By the time you finish looking though you may end up saving more cash and also want / be able to drive a turbo one. May just be worth holding off buying one until then.

Im in a similar boat to you, only im looking for a very clean (and close to stock) bayside blue vspec 34 gtr. Im assuming that theres also a few good ones left, but by the time i finish looking - i'll probably end up with a R35.

Yeah, i know what you mean. Would rather factory manual over a transmission conversion any day of the week, but just as long as its manual . . been driving manuals my whole life .. and im only 19 .. just a passion i guess :) I refuse for any car i own to be auto, until im like a family man .. or until i mature a bit more. and neither of those are happening any time soon. you get the picture XD

Lets hope so, well ive found a few ones that meet my description for about 12 k .. + 1000 or so to get it registered in NSW. And im like desperate as im very sick of my beemer, had it for about 2 years now .. fun but just a dud.

planning on buying round early feb next year when i have the funds 100%. dont really want to hold out either as ive psyched myself up about it soooooo much.

Cant compromise for anything less than what i want i guess. Hoping someone posts that perfect 34 on here :)

Good luck on your end as well man

    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
    • Nice car! I’m glad folks in the US have gotten past the FnF and are buying real cool cars like the 260RS I was with a bunch of mates in Portland about a year ago and spotted a green Stagea (just a regular 2.5T AWD) parked about 2 blocks away and they were like “a what?” So I made a bet with them for a round of beers and said “ok one of you run down there and tell me if the steering wheel is on the correct side” 5 mins later the American comes trudging back up the hill and goes “he’s right guys. Ok what beer do you want?”
    • Should replace OR drop the tank, give it's good clean. Might be worth replacing that entire fuel level/pump/cradle thing with this: https://frenchysperformancegarage.com/products/fpg-s13-180sx-r32gtst-single-pump-hanger-kit-billet-hat-6-v3-fpg-089?gQT=2
