as the title says, this is an expression of interest at the moment and I'm merely just testing waters to see if there's much interest in my car.

-manufactured in 1992.

-gun metal grey in colour.

-factory 5 speed manual.

-factory non turbo rb20de motor.

-genuine 236 xxx km's.

-previous owner gave it a respray, so paint is immaculate.

-oil changes done meticulously every 5000kms aswell as oil filter.

-only run on 98 octane bp ultimate.

Mods:

-I have done a 5 stud conversion from a r32 gtst type-m, including brakes.

-hicas lock bar

-came with a pod filter unfortunately, bolted up neatly though so all legal.

-rolling on r32 gtst stock wheels resprayed black.

-tein HA adjustable coilovers in the rear, standard shocks with lowered springs up front. (have front teins but one needs a rebuild so not installed)

-2.5 to 2.25 cat back exhaust with unknown brand cannon, looks good.

-clutch replaced 1 year ago and obviously is very bitey.

Overall, the car runs great for it's age, only ever problem was the fuel pump died and it was replaced with a high flow tomei pump which is desgined for the power of a turbo, so will last for a long time. And the radiator was replaced due to a small leak, inevitable for it's age.

gearbox seems fine, no crunches very tight.

Only thinking of selling it as I'm bored with it and considering buying a turbo.

currently registered and will be getting re-registered for 12 months on december 6th.

price: $7500

pm me if interested, and remember this is only an eoi at the moment.

I can vouch for this car, having driven it myself. It's very tight and holds up outstandingly well for its age. Paint is in great nick and the exhaust note is orgasmic. It really is the ultimate P-plater car.

    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG is has not responded to my emails so far after purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
    • I would say no, why, because my daughter, who also lives in Goulburn, hasn't recommended us going there Pity, as we miss all the German joints around in Sydney, actually, the restaurants are the only thing I really miss about Sydney, and a special mention to Ishibanboshi at Bondi Junction, their Kara-age Don is heart cloggingly deliciousness (always added a special boiled egg...or 2) 😋
