Yeh I got that.

But - to use the line of the peoples moderators - do you really think that this hasn't been asked before in the 7 years this site has been operating? There is LOADS of information on here, I could read for DAYS about ECU's and their pro's/con's/peoples opinions.

Just search! I mean, you've waited what, 22 minutes to get these replies from myself or others? That's 22 minutes of your life that you will never get back, my good sir. 22 minutes that could have been spent educating yourself on your choices of ECU with the vast pool of information on here.

I looked for about 2 years for one - Even went down the path of making the RB26 ECU run the RB25DET and RB20DET, so I could get a powerfc PRO for a GTR into my car. Turned out that I was scammed, and it was a standard GTR Powerfc inside a case with powerfc pro markings.

haha here is the old thread where I rewired a small harness to make the RB26 ECU work on the RB25, and RB20. Did it for a couple of mates that had RB20s.

Even hard modded a RB26 D-Jetro ECU to run my mates RB20.

Fark... those were the good old days.

I was looking at those threads only yesterday

I swapped the pfc for the pro with a bloke in Perth who had it in a Nissan patrol of all things

Then sold it too a bloke in Sydney.

We had dramas with it talking to FC edit due to the old firmware in the pro

But it served me well

Yeah nothing but a 2-step and hard cut. Not worth specifically going out to find one when a simple gizmo 2 step or bee-r work just as well

Have you seen many jza70 pfc's in your travels? Sucks that each different 1jz car had different ecu plugs except for some jzx90s had the same as the a70 supra

I tried the Gizzmo one, and it was pretty shit.... Was too hard to hook up switches etc and was a bitch to wire up.

Haven't seen any Toyota PowerFCs at all actually. I can have a look next time I am in Japan if you like? might be a few months though.

Keep an eye on ebay - Interesting place to find weird stuff, lol.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
