Ive been reading but I want to be 100%.

Just wanted to know it if it is a good idea to install LOW (not superlow) King springs into my r34 skyline. Ive been reading around that superlows damage the stock shocks of skylines so Im not keen on ruining my shocks for looks. But will LOWS do the same?

Does anybody have experience with this ? I have a nismo bodky on my skyline already but just wanted to drop it down a little more. King springs im after are the KDFL-101 in the King spring catalogue http://www.kingsprings.com.au/catalogue/kings_master_catalogue.pdf.

Before anyone mentions coilovers I just want to know if this will be a suitable option at the moment as it costs less and if it isnt worth it, ill invest in coilovers in the future.

thanks

Lows should be OK. Only OK though....not good. The maths is pretty simple. If you want to go lower, then then springs have to be stiffer. If you have stiffer springs, then you really need uprated dampers to control the springs. Otherwise you get a bouncy piece of shit as a result.

Now, stock R34 dampers are all quite old. And so they're not likely to be even as good as they were new. So they're going to struggle to damp out stiffer springs. So my advice is not to just buy springs. If you can't afford a set of springs and at least a set of Bilsteins or KYBs right now, then wait.

King springs lows will be fine in the standard shocks (if they are in good cond). I had $3000 bilsteins coilovers in my 34 gtr and were a bit to hard for me - put the lows in with standard shocks and it's all good.

If you on a budget, then yes, it will be cheaper then getting a full adjustable coil over setup.

I have used King Springs before but in my daily + I would also look into Nismo / Tein / Bilsteins / KYB Springs.

As of my personal choice, I'd just got full adjustable coil over set up.

Tein / Cusco / HKS / Bilsteins, just to name a few.
