Hi There

R32 RB26 into R33 GTSt. Long story short (my project nearly completed) some of you allready know the skyline body wiring (Lights, wipers, speedo, oil pressure guage ect...) runs to the ecu. I obviously allready have the standard R33 GTSt body wiring in the car.

R32 body loom is different and therefor Rb26 wiring loom is different as signals from different guages are sent to different pins of the ecu so the wires may need to be cut and pasted into the correct position in order to make things inside the car including fuel pump, and outside (headlights) work.

QUESTION: Diagram, links, ideas for cutting and pasting/ rewiring the R33 GTST Body loom to suite R32 RB26 so I can have fully operational engine running accessories.

I have searched far and wide with not much luck, I have both service manuals (R33 gtst and R32 GTR) but if somone has a human friendly diagram that actual people can read that would be extremely handy.

Thank you :)

So I have discovered after pulling the dusty old loom out from storage that the R32 actually has 3 body loom plugs whereas the R33 only has 2 so I am going to have to direct wire them to the correct places. but

still if anyone has one of these diagrams they can send me please :)

yeah i have workshop manuals for both but they are just wiring diagrams and are waaay too complex for the every day person. If I could get my hands on a pinout diagram for the plugs and I knew exactly what pin needs to be swapped to what pin it would be do-able. Otherwise I guess my only other option is to pay somone a buttload of money

Thanks but I can get the ecu pin out diagram but I am talking about the body loom plugs located inside the car next to the ecu itself and I need to know what wire connects to what, the same plugs that connects your lights, horn, wipers, oil pressure gauge and all of that very useful stuff

Hey mate I've got the perfect guy that does conversion wiring, 1 day turnaround and no need to take the car to him all you need to do is take the loom, very resnobley priced also. although he's located up near redbank plains, if your still Intrested swing me a pm.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
