Recommended Posts

****EN COPS!

My turn to whine.

Even thou i did not get dick at Chapel, never go there anyway.

Got d0gged by cop car last Sunday right outside crown bridge (near exibition center)

Situation:

copy car indicating turning right

me - crossing intersection.

me - shit myself as i saw him, slowed a bit, casuing me delay crossing the intersection.

I was about 2 car lengths short of crossing as it then turned RED. Mind you crossing is a long one not the standard street T-intersection.

Cop - chases me. ****s me over with a $200 fine and 3 dermit points.

Says that i went through a red light, fkn bs!

Then my car doesnt start! hah, ask faggets for a jump start "sorry we are not the ravc, we are not oblidge to do that".

me - ok

cop - oh your car is manual? we can give you a push

me- ok

hhaha fkn dogs pushed my car like slaves, I even hit on the breaks at one time to *** em!

hHAHAHA.

Now that i got an unreasonable fine. Worth taking it futher? or just fkn "cop" it and move on?

hmmmm at least they gave u a push man...

not much u can do about the fine unless u can prove via a camera that you were already passed the line before it turned red.

only reason they prolly wanted to give me a push was, that they saw it was downhill, not much effort, and it was busy street for my car to sit (right beside the tram stops) infront of crown.

Also, they did their stupid tests on me, as if i was a fool.

q. what is your name?

q. what is the date?, do you know what day it is?

- doin laps around my car trying to find defects?,

- torch light into my car

- makes me do 2x breath test.

never gotten a fine in my life, guess i jsut cant hack it, esp wen i dont think i should've got :D

Yeah, if it's a large intersection and you were already in it... etc

Not safe to stop etc.

The you can get off easily with a nice letter

Why would they defect the catch can & steering wheel?

Was it a vented catch can and was this steering wheel aftermarket?

cops are bad mother f**ers!

Well.. ill add to the Chapel St drama..

Coming home 3am 9/4/04 after a night at The Next Blue, meeting up with friends so i decided to take Malvern Rd to Coles. I like to steer clear of Chaps when in my car, i knew it wasnt up to roadworthy standard.. and i just got it back from repairs... she has only ever graced chapel street 2-3 times in the 2 years ive had her.

Parked in Coles away from the VL boys.. 5 seconds later or less, TMU parked behind me. I got the cop that was having a bad night obviously.. i received a minor defect for the catch can, steering wheel & parker lights... and also labelled a 'smart ass' according to the officer... i mean WTF!

Yes, Chapel nor anywhere around chapel is safe right now.. oh well shit happens!

usually steering wheels are defected for not having padding in the centre OR not having airbag when supposed to...

Catch can must have been venting OR the cop doesnt really know the rules OR the cop wanted to shaft him...

If I was you I would of put the handbrake on halfway so the brake lights wouldn't show. That would of made the cops job a bit harder. :D

I have only had my skyline for a month and i got done on chaps the other night when me and a mate were going to get a souvlaki mother F$#krs.

As soon as they sore my intercooler at the front he asked me to pull over in from of ZOS. Asked me to pop my bonnet that’s it is all over I thought.

Now I have:

-HKS big ass cooler

-HKS POD

-Tein suspension and

-JASMA exhaust.

He rips out the stick with the wheel at the end to see if my car has clearance.

Which it didn’t 1st thing he f#@%ed me on. Started pushing my car up and down for the suspension. The shocks are hard racing ones. He tripped how hard they were.

2nd thing F$#ked on. He even went the length as to check the loading rate on my standard tires. The 3rg thing was for the pod which he didn’t mention to me.

Oh yes and a nice $165 fine.

They didn’t not say one thing about the cooler.

That was the most expensive souvlaki I ever had.

    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way.
