no fonts... all hand drawn from manuals, magazines and other printed sources. Those letters that aren't in the word "SKYLINE TYPE G/M" or GTR are my own invention, just used existing letters to extrapolate new ones.

I'll be fkt if I know how to draw a Q tho lol.

these SAU badges just gave me a brilliant idea for the next MAS. It involves very large stencils cut out from the SAU logo, and airbrush, some red n white cloth dye and black bedsheet from Lincraft/Spotlight... cover the entire ground under the cars in black cloth with SAU monograms. Should be able to print ou number plate inserts pretty easily as well.

bleh since when did we care about other states... lol nah I know what you mean i crossed my mind as well, but I assumed that the other state people would deal with that lol.

I guess it would be better to use VIC... only bad thing about it is that it then starts looking like a optometrist's eye strength checking chart lol.

Shan great work. i really like the gtr style sau with the larger victoria font (sorry Ni, your tastes suck :() The logo with the smaller Victoria looks too blocky.

Even the business card sized membership cards would look great:

Front: Black card with only the "SAU VICTORIA"

Rear: Have member details, using same colours

hi everyone, i got a reply from my friend who has been working on a logo for us, this is what she sent me:

Hi Sarah, hope your well!

Attached to this email is a pdf file containing variations for one logo

concept. It contains the following:

1. Black and White options

2. Colour options

3. Car Sticker and Illustration

style

Originally I was going to give you 2 or 3 options, but I thought we might present them one step at a time. From experience, more than one option can make it difficult to make a decision on which is best! So show the guys and see what they think. If they don't find it suitable I'll present another option. Here are the minor costs for the project.

1. One final logo $200.00

2. Artwork for Car Sticker additional

3. Artwork for Cap additional

Don't get scared by the additionals!! This is only if they want something really different or anything extra than what you have mentioned.

Once the final logo has been chosen, I will supply it as a jpeg format so it can be used on the website. Here are a couple of things that I can suggest be used for the logo:

1. Update the look and feel of the

website to reflect new logo

2. Business Cards / Stationary for SAU

staff and to be used for official business purposes

3. Membership cards for each member

with login and password details

4. Newsletters / html email to members

informing on events etc

All the above items are designs that I can provide you with at an

additional

cost.

If you have any questions or anything at all just le me know!

Speak to you soon,

M

hmmm wanna put the pdf in a zip file n attach it? Also, logo is useless as JPEG, it'd be better if she supplied it as an AI file or a vector graphic of some sort.

umm, wanna give me a minute so i can without it giving me the error:

SAU_LOGO___Option_1.pdf:

File Too Large. Limit for this filetype is 100.0 KB. Your file is 190.6 KB.

and

SAU_LOGO___Option_1.zip:

File Too Large. Limit for this filetype is 100.0 KB. Your file is 143.7 KB.

i would buy that hat in the picture anyday.... looks all good.. guys how about a SAU jump suit, so we can wear it wen working on the car :P yerrrrr that would be mad.. but i doubt it will happen... im yet to buy a nissan jaket... soonnn

one at a time lil padawan.... one at a time lol...

here's ted's friends suggestions. While they are cool designs, I dunno exactly if we can afford to pay $200 for it. As for the additional items I'm gonna be honest n say its not necessary. James, myself, Prank and a fair few other members of the club are accomplished designers (we pretty much do what your friend does for a job), we're moreso looking at some ideas for a logo, which we can then incorporate into what we have.

We'll have to discuss with a) the members and B) the committee if its worth paying $200 for any design (irrespective of how good it is). Its money that can be better spent.

Anywho, here's the designs (I like the taillight ones and am kicking myself as to why I din think of em first):

    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
