The oil feeding line supplied with the turbo looks like its gonna be a bit long, will this matter or should it be trimmed up? If so, how do i got about trimming it, because the fittings on each end dont look like they come off easily...

And just to confirm its a 24mm socket/spanner need for the water line banjo bolts isn't it?

Well after a really long day, turbo is in along with metal intake. At the moment the bov return and bov are bloked off, because I could not get the hose to go on the bung of the intake and the metal bov return pipe without kinking or touching the exhaust manifold. So a trip to enzed on Monday for some rubber hose in the right diameter an hopefully there wont be anything else major crop up.

Hey Mitch I ended up getting some really nice hose that still touches the manifold but is holding up perfectly

Got it from A place on kembla st in fyshwick they are on the right I forget the name of them

The guys at enzed didn't have anything that could handle the heat

Ok, will check it out.

Anyone know why I can now hear a bubbling sound while im driving thats sounds like its coming from in the dash/ under hood?

A shit tonne of coolant came out of the water lines of the turbo, so once they were bolted back up, I poured coolant and water into the top of the radiator. I'm thinking the bubbling has something to do with the way I have done that...

Bleed hole on inlet plenum, 10mm spanner.

Have the car facing uphill and open (release pressure first!)

Bubbles of air trapped in the head come out,

top up from the radiator and see the coolant come out of the hole,

plug it back up,

run the motor for a minute or two,

Repeat untill all air is gone.

Ps. buy good tools, they are good as gold and will last decades, i have some of my grandfathers tools, spanners in the 50'S were made of good steel.

Dont buy shit tools, they will strip bolts and bust your knuckles and you will wish you had just borrowed dads sidchrome set.

also make sure your heater is on when you are bleeding the system as there could be some air in there too. Good tools are worth their weight in gold. I still have all my tools from my apprenticeship except ones that have been 'borrowed' or ones i misused.

Can I assume that if the coolant level in the radiator hasn't dropped between now and when I did this thismorning that most air bubbles are out?

When I first checked it this morning there was a lot less in there than what was put in originally after the turbo install. Im assuming this is because it's a closed system with the bolt ad radiator cap on and all the air that was trapped in the head etc making it seem like the coolant was full but overnight the air has just traveled to the top of the radiator?

got my nistune ecu back today from Matt and exhaust temp light and FICD issues have been sorted!

Also managed to ghetto up a temporary bov return line until the 1 1/8 inch silicone hose turns up then ill use it and wrap the area that touches the exhaust manifold in some heat wrap.

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
