So what ur saying is-

U want to know how to find a boost leak ?

U want to know how a turbo works ?

U want to know the routing of R33 intercooler pipes ?

Also u mentioned a BOV, if its an atmo one dont bother. It Will only cause u idle and fuel economy issues. Stick with the stock one.

hahaha but those pages dont seem to answer my question

and want it more answered towards a r33 style turbo set up

not some home made science project

please read the question before posting thanks (not just the post)

Oh, well in that case, let's start with this:

My link

After you've read that, then read Messiah's post, then refer back to my first link. After all, can't run before we can walk ;)

URM OK

THOUGHT THE REPLIES WOULD BE LOT MORE USEFUL

HANALDO WHICH ONE OF THOSE GOOGLE RESULTS ANSWER MY QUESTION?

AS I CANT REALLY FIND WT I ASKED IN OP

OK WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS WHERE THE BOOST (AIR) FLOWS FROM THE TURBO?

ORIGINALLY HAD A BOOST LEAK BUT I KNOW IT WAS COMING TO THE BOV (AS THE BOOST GUAGE IS CONNECTED AROUND THERE AND I DID HAVE FULL BOOST READING)

I DID LOOK INSIDE AND SAW THE FMIC JOINING AT THE FRONT WAS DODGY (SILICON JOINERS ANID CLAMPS), REMOVED THEM AND REALISED I CANT PUT IT BACK ON WITHOUT REMOVING HALF OF THE INTERCOOLER PIPING (WHICH I WILL DO LATER)

NOW I HAVE NO BOOST BUT IM HOPING ITS JUST BECAUSE EVERYTHINGS LOST AROUND THE INTERCOOLER

SO THE REASON I ASKED IS SO I CAN KNOW WHERE THE POSSIBILITIES ARE IF ITS COMING BETWEEN THE BOV AND ENGINE

AND JUST TO MAKE SURE THE FMIC COMES BEFORE BOV, OR MAYBE I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM

IF YOU CANT HELP ME WITH THIS OR ANSWER MY ORIGINAL POST, DONT REPLY

I KNOW HOW TO USE GOOGLE

NO NEED FOR SMART ASS COMMENTS (YES I KNOW I POSTED EVERYTHING IN CAPITALS - HOPEFULLY YOU CAN READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE REPLYING)

I think i know what ur getting at, u wanna know which is the outlet pipe off the turbo ? Look at ur engine from the front, u will see a big cross over pipe and a pipe connected to it, now look below that pipe and u will see another one that sorta runs parralel. Thats where the boost comes from, the lower one of the pipes, if u follow it back to the turbo u will see a 90degree elbow, thats ur outlet from the turbo.

Nope, now I can't read it at all. I read this part. And now my reply is probably pretty useless, because I doubt the rest of your post was in relation to your ill-use of caps lock.

Honestly mate, my first post was helping you. If you don't understand how these things work then you're not going to be able to find and fix problems. It seems pretty clear to me that you don't understand because you are asking a question of something so simple. So do us, and yourself, a favour by reading about how these things work. A Skyline isn't inherently different from any other turbocharged/intercooled engine.

At risk of feeding a very hungry troll...

turbo_diagram.jpg

it should be pretty simple to relate which pipes go to where.

start at your air filter, follow it back to the turbo, air goes in there. gets compressed then leaves the compressor housing (silver bit) then through to the intercooler, cools its shit down, then up and around past the BOV and to the throttle body -> engine.

p.s. i found that pic in 3 clicks and 11 key strokes...

    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
    • Hi Guys, Does anyone know any aftermarket part numbers for a starter motor to suit the VQ25DET? I can find lots of alternative part number for the VQ35DE, which I assume would fit, but there is a lot of conflicting information out there. Thanks..
    • I don't understand how this hasn't boiled down to - Upgrade the turbo when you have everything required. ECU, injectors, fuel pump, turbo, etc. Do it all at once.  If you don't have everything required, just enjoy the car as it is and keep saving up your pennies.
