Found a good Infiniti dealer in the USA who ships international.

Sewell Infiniti in Texas.

Just ordered and OEM Front plate bracket (USD $90.40) as my local Nissan Dealer can't get it.

Just thought I should let you know for those trying to source parts from the US.

Used them before and would use them again - Josh there was very helpful. One of the items I ordered from Sewell was a replacement in-cabin filter and it arrived crushed because they packed it loose amongst other items (stupid). They shipped over a replacement (in a box this time) at no cost to me - it was no fuss.

I rang a random Infiniti dealer and asked if they shipped to aus and they said to call sewell Infiniti and I rand them and the guy was very helpful, knew his product and willing to ship to Aus.

How long did the part take to arrive from the US? Because I ordered a plate bracket? Shouldn't take that long should it.

Also I will try that other dealer recommended!

Can someone post links to these guys?

Have you tried your local Nissan dealer Paul? Some don't want to know you, but others are very helpful.

I tried to get the steering wheel controls for your cruise control from Riverside. Found them very slow to respond & price was no cheaper than my local Nissan spare parts but when shipping was added they were heaps dearer. Now I buy everything locally & constantly amazed at how quickly the most obscure parts will turn up - often the next day.

My local Nissan dealer said they can only get mechanical and things that the V35 and 350Z share in common.

Sorry to say they are an example of one that isn't interested in helping out.

It's a silly stand to for them make since all they do is put a part number into the computer, tell you how much it will be & then order it in if you agree on the price. I'm sure they make the same margins on the V35 specific parts as they would on the 350Z ones.

Any others in nearby suburbs or towns?

It arrived and it's on. Arrived before the 5-7day quoted time.

Fits well and looks much nicer that having to bend both edges of your plates to fit it in the gap.

Even if Nissan aust could get it I don't think it would have come quicker than what I got mine from the US

    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
