Yer well itsa got Bilsteins on the back at medium height, and with the 16's the guard was level, or just above, the top of the tread on the tyre.

Using the tyre calculator...heres the old and new measurements for the rims/tyres :

Old: New:

225 50 16 245 40 18

Side wall : 112.5 mm 98 mm (14.5 mm difference Mmmmm ;))

Radius : 315.7 mm 326.6 mm (10.9 mm bigger)

Diameter : 631.4 mm 653.2 mm ( 21.8 mm bigger overall)

Circumference 1983.6 mm 2052.1 mm

Overall if i sit on 100kms/Hr the speedo reads 103.5 km/hr

std rims are 7inch?, so ur new ones are 2.5 inch wider... all outwards by the sound of it? so your rear track is like 2.5inch wider... hmm... certain authorities won't like that i believe (i think 1inch wider is ok?) but with an RB31 in there i guess that's a minor problem really...

Bl4cK32, AFAIK the A032Rs are a control tyre in motorsport, but also the RE55S - I have seen the cams regulations that allow them (or RE540s)

The A032Rs may be better, but at nearly twice the price? IMHO they arent worth it, they wont grip twice as well, nor wear twice as long. And, the RE55s do grip well.

Lastly, would you believe everything a salesman tells you? He really isnt going to tell you to buy a cheaper tyre (that he cant sell) because its better. I have read alot of independant reviews, and from all accounts, the Yokos and Bridgestone are both very good tyres.
