Thanks guys, will keep you posted, go in to do it now

Tsk Tsk oh Anthony I need to teach you how to work on cars.

The key is have a go, if you remember where the screws go your fine.

Yeah and dont give him any beers while he is working as he will try and screw everything!

Hahaha I'm just a friendly guy.

Except to benji, he makes us look bad.

Must of been lulzy when people looked at the convoy of Skylines and then noticed the big fat commotank among the pack trying to blend into the scene.

People dont NOTICE commodores!! Although seeing a troll driving a car is a bit odd so maybe...............

Hahah good idea tank, I got ant dawg on board for professional detailer to look for accidents :)

Once I get a bit more serious a convoy may arise bhahahahaha!

Stfu benji.

Yeh i think mine may have been in a prang in japan b4 it was brought over, front drivers fender seems a little bit off, i didnt notice it when i went to inspect/pick it up from TAS, emotions got the better of me i was awed by the presence of a GTR i was about to buy . Passed mechanical inspection and turbos where checked for freeplay so all was good on that end.

Yeah, the panel gaps for R34's are usually spot on and to within a pooftenth of a millimetre.

Unequal panel gaps usually does indicate there is some underlying accident damage. Check the bolts of the panel and if they have been repainted then it means the panel has been taken off before.

Gayyyyyyyyyyyy

No i didnt get the paperwork from Japan, i know when the car was imported and by who it was brought in in 2009 buy autostyle performance in sydney, bought buy a guy in his 20s from QLD then sold to the guy in TAS in the space of 6 months of it getting into AUS. Tried to contact auto style about it, apparently they changed owners so they didnt have the details from the cars previously brought in.

Im not to fussed buy it, i had a limited amout of time to find one as i needed a car since i sold my last one, it passed all the mechanical checkes and a miss aligned panel does not rly fase me that much i can just take it to one of the shops in syd and have them take it off and align it properly. and for the price i paid im happy with it.

I've failed already, shitty socket set isn't long enough to remove one of the bolts ha

Gotta spanner ya nut?............... I mean for the nut :P

If its the one with the stud and you have no other tools try getting the socket on the nut with no extension or ratchet and go from there..............

    • Hi guys . Can someone help me  I bought an Android screen for my Nissan fuga but it won't turn on
    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
