Lol yeah well you are now driving a steam roller

The really twisty bit between Buckets Way and home was good BUT a lot of crap roads for that small patch of fun!

hahaha yep.

have you driven from dungog to stroud? stroud hill road i think, there is a really twisty bit, plenty of hair pins.. crap roads eaither side but that section is fun. and the stretch from gresford to dungog is also pretty good, again a few real tight bits which is really fun, but crap roads either side again.

the good thing on a bike is the road dont need to be quite as good to have alot of fun on them, especially when your learning!

haha the wide body does look sick but bit un-nessesary for me atm hah. 200kw isnt that hard to control.

Its an Evo, point and shoot ;)

Yep that is the road i meant! Carmen to a screeshot of the GPS and its just a spaghetti road!

It was fun in the 34 but was still a bit bumpy as the front would bottom out under hard braking and cornering! (Of course doing the speed limit the whole time)

need to get a bike then? ha

Hmmm...

Too Complimentary :P

haha that looks mad!

i dont see a problem?...

Nah, my sister was always trying to get me on a bike but she does enough damage for both of us, not sure if you saw but it looks like she wrote off the ZX10r finally...... well.......again!

did see something like that on fb... not good.

she must go pretty hard?

Keep it clean! Its my sister you are talking about :domokun: lolz

But on a bike she has no fear!

Just got back from the 11 hour drive getting the car.

It has a sticky fuel gauge so we played it safe and refueled every 200km's. To my surprise with highway driving + a bit of stop start in Sydney it managed about 9-10l/100ks...

Is it just me or is that pretty awesome for a car with 330rwkw. We punched it a few times here and there as well but mostly just cruising.

Where did you pick that up from?

330rwkw sounds like itd be a good kick in the pants!

Got it from Junee mate and I have driven it up to Port Macquarie to be stored at my Parents house for the time being.

I am pretty stoked on it, its in very good nic with the only issues being a couple oil leaks (cam cover seals and what I believe to be the oil drain pipe off the turbo). Will be getting onto those when I can.

I also came across another strange occurence with the car just now when I was down in the garage admiring my purchase haha. I made a thread here if anyone wants to have a look and offer any info/advice.

Also while Im at it, is it safe if I degrease / use a gurni on my engine bay? I just want to degrease it the best I can so I can spot exactly where these leaks are coming from. Whats the best method

Edited by Bennis

people do gurni but you can try to avoid electrics all you like and you may still f**k something haha,

I pressure pack degreaser things if im looking for a leak etc then run it to see where it leaks from, more direct and safer.

as far as cleaning I think people armorall the engine bay? spray on wipe off.
gurni could chips paint on engine covers or paint in engine bay so id play it safe and do It the hard way :)

    • Pads for R32 GTS-t, R32 GT-R non V-Spec (Sumitomo), R33 GTS-t and R34 GT-t are all interchangeable. R34 GT uses a 2x piston caliper, hence it didn't fit.
    • Checked with amayama and nope, the full S2 manual set is not available anymore. Unsurprising, but still disappointing as the ? on availability gave a glimmer of hope.
    • I've heard the Tomei USA head gaskets are decent if you want to o-ring the heads but otherwise not recommended.
    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
