looking at the title, it looks like they are made for a Infiniti G35.. it also has US in the title.. I can't read japaneese, but this makes me think it will be for a US spec G35, so probably LHD.

Well it states they are made in Japan so you would think RHD

I asked a Japanese friend to ask 'if they are for RHD or LHD car' and the seller replied with 'they are for RHD and LHD car'..........which doesn't help what so ever :rolleyes:

HAHAH *insert confused jacky chan meme here* that's so good hahaha. It confused the hell out of me when it said Skyline V35 G35 Infiniti...

So let me get this straight, the covers on my lights say they are HID but in reality they are Xenon Halogen for compliance. So does this mean i have to buy Xenon lights in order for them to "plug and play" and no mucking around buying new ballasts OR if i buy HID lights will they plug straight into the current ballasts and work with no fuss.

If it was complied properly, the HID lamp and ballest would have been removed, and a standard halogen lamp and fitting installed. You don't need to buy Xenon halogen lamps, as they are just normal halogen lamps with traces of Xenon gas added to the halogens inside the lamp.

If you have normal halogens, and you want to go back to factory HID headlights, you will need to get a factory HID ballest as well as the HID fitting and re-wire everything back to how it was originally. Or you could buy aftermarket HID headlights, which would also need an aftermarket ballest.

That said, there are plenty of examples of V35s which were not complied properly and still have their factory HID lamps.

Can't say for sure.. they should be a straight bolt in, but when it comes to wiring them up, I can't tell if they have ballsats for the HIDs (the info seems to suggest they are HID).

The easiest way for YOU to find out what is required for YOUR car is for YOU to have a look at what is actually there and what is not. Once YOU have done this you could ask the community for their input on what to do.

We cannot see your car so we don't know what is on it and what isn't

Good point, just haven't got the time so everything has to be done on the weekend.

I do, its fine, hey dont even go up to the left that much, they are pretty flat

See this is what annoys me, i have had SO many people be like "ohhh no don't get them you will blind everyone blah blah blah" then when i ask someone that ACTUALLY has the lights they aren't that bad. My mate has USDM projectors on his Ralliart and they're fine be barely had to adjust them. I'm going to buy the 06 G35 projectors.

The thing is, do you really notice the RHD headlights lighting up the left side of the road? not really, so you probaly aren't going to notice LHD headlights shining in the face of oncomming traffic either.. especially with normal street lights lighting the middle of the road.. that doesn't mean they don't.. there is a reason they make LHD and RHD headlights, and not 'one size fits all'

Turn on your normal headlights at night then stand about 30M in front of the car, but off to the left, you will notice how bight the lights are in your face. this is exactly what it will be like for oncomming drivers if you use LHD headlights.

Not really no, i will try this though. But with my lights, the Right side Top light doesn't work so it's not going to be that accurate. I can always adjust them a bit, besides i've seen countless amounts of cars at night that are very bright even some stock lights in new cars. I think it was a camry last night blinded the hell out of me.

They will fit, straight plug in. You just need to transfer over your existing factory HID setup.

I am guessing by your continual post's of questions about this topic that YOU still haven't had a look at what is actually bolted to YOUR car? :domokun:

Yes that's correct, i've got a quote for the 06-07 G35 projectors which are xenon (same as my current lights and will plug and play) i'm simply trying to get as many opinions as i can from people that actually have LHD lights and i'm interested if they've had any problems with them before i go and spend $670 on something that i'm going to be frustrated and unhappy with..

      I thought I'd do a write up on an auto transmission fluid change for a the nissan 7 speed Automatic. At some stage the genius engineers decided that the fluid in the trans was "for the life of the transmission", (which seems kind of self supporting to me) and removed the dip stick and fill tube (funnily enough there is still a casting for it). Anyway, for this job you do need 2 specialist tools in addition to regular hand tools, jack and good chassis stands. You need a way to pump fluid up to the transmission; I got one of these but there are plenty of other options: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364584087070 Don't trust the generic listing though, it does not come with the required adapter for the Nissan 7 Speed. You need one of these, can't do the job without it: https://navarapart.com.au/product/genuine-nissan-patrol-y62-d23-np300-navara-re7-dipstick-fill-connector1 You need a heap of compatible transmission oil. Could be Nissan, could be anything else rated for Nissan Matic S. You need at least 10 litres, I had 15 to give it a better flush...       So I mentioned the apprentice, @LachyK helped take the bonnet off. We just undid the nuts on the hinges and unclipped the gas struts, then pulled the bonnet back a little as the front was catching on the front bar.  I had a good look at everything today and have removed the rams, repaired/reset the hinges and bolted it back together like it never happened. I'll do a separate write up on the repair, and I also removed the poppers from the Fuga today too to save grief down the road.....as said above it is at least $5k to repair retail. I'm also happier about my ability to prepare a race car, and less happy about Nis-nault's engineering (I can hear @GTSBoy sAfrican Americaning) because the top hose of the radiator didn't slip off.......it snapped clean off. By practice I put the hose clamp hard up against the flare on a neck to make it least likely to ever move (thanks @Neil!). I guess that puts a little more pressure on the end of the pipe as it is further away from the rad, but still, that is pretty shit. I've put it back on for now as there was a fair bit of neck still there, but obviously there is no lip on the neck any more so I don't think I'll track it again until I have a new rad. Speaking of which....more research required. It looks like Koyo makes a standard size radiator in ally which I'll grab in the meantime, but I really want something thicker so might have to go custom in the medium term (ouch) Coolant still needs a refill and I have the pressure tester on it over night, but other than a wash down of the engine bay it seems alright. And @MBS206 noted something noisy on the front of the engine and I think I agree....time for a new accessory belt and tensioners I think.
