Gday guys trying to trouble shoot, my alarm/immobiser.

The M80g has been fitted to run with my external HKS timer. If i dont use the timer or wait for it to turn off then it works properly (immobilises/alarms)

However i turn on the turbo timer, i get out it still runs and i can lock the doors and once the car has finished running it will turn off and immobilise but it wont arm the alarm, the remote doesnt beep.

As i didnt install it i dont know if its a feature i need to enable or its been wired wrong.

Cheers

Patrick

read the booklet. I have the m60s and whil playing with it, mine locks and immobilises when turbo timer time has finished. Besides, its wank, just disable it.

Been reading the book, AND if you had a genuine Manual like i do you will find it actually says if you got 100kph to let the car idle for 30sec or if 100kph and slopes or +100kph to let the car idle for 1 minute.

No need to get a big head about it. Its hard to sit in the car for 30 seconds

Cool story brosef, the immobilser has the ability to interface with an external timer, was after solution not your opinion, ttys xoxo

So i guess my real question is, how do you programme the alarm to interface and arm with the external timer, the booklet i received and pdf i got off mongoose do not clarify this.

cheers

Okay problem SOLVED!

If you have a 2012 plus models does not with programming!

If it has been wired correctly donwloading the pdf directly from the mongoose website. Have the car locked and unlock it, with drivers door open quickly turn key in ignition 15 times "as fast as possible" and then turn back to ACC. Count the beeps to make sure you got 15, then if so press button one. Wait ten seconds for a three chirp confirmitory. Kick over car with timer on and try locking it holding down button one, if it locks with a beep you will have success!

Why would you run the HKS turbo timer when the M80G already has one. That's like noob step number 1.

you must know everything, ill come staight to you next time. Externals timers are more user friendly as you dont have to re-programme it everytime you want to change timer duration.

Cool story hansel. :P

I think people need to start realising that when you come on a forum that you will get mixed responses from vast community/background/age group of forum users.

But seriously, good for you figuring it out. So does it lock and re imobilise the engine when the timer has run out?

Have you sat in the car and tested it? Does the car switch off and imobilise when the door is opened while the timer is running?

haha. Yeah it works and arms properly now. Its stupid how the books doesnt include the programming from 2012 onwards. It mentions the features but advises to contact installer to do any.

it was removed for a reason. those units are sold in 3 countries and NZ did not want it in there.

I too remove T'timers. makes the car entirely too easy to steal.

and before you even think of giving me a serve do a search on who I am :)

your just a big D@#K head thats who you are......kidding.

Thats actually a really good point just bridge the igntion it at the timer plug and either roll start or tap into starter and your away. something ill have to think about

Is there something i can do to make it harder to steal besides hiding/ attempting to armour the wiring?

good at making friends aren't you :)

in short - piss the timer off and sit in the car for the extra 30 sec. 30 sec out of your life isn't going to hurt you.

mind you I could probably still take the car anyway. most people dont give a rats about alarm install so its probably very obvious and easily bypassed..

My mate who installed it is a electronics tech and before use to be in the trade of doing alarm installs so its proabably well hidden. However in saying that he neglected to tell me the issue of a timer compramising security.

Thanks for the info Chris i appreciate it

*Thread hijack

So would this mean that my security is compromised since my turbo timer (which I actually use as a boost gauge) is still in the car, Chris?

Or was there something done to the wiring to make it that much harder to steal?

Oh its my turn to shite shir haha Been a while

Your ghey turbo timer is a adr defect ( but I'm sure you dont care!) but it must time how long you wank off ...so the 30 seconds is enough to cool off ? or set for 1 min so the oil has time to cool off and not stick to your palms

But its good to know your master mind fixed it " gold star to you "

In the future ask questions with some respect to the ones trying to help you ffs or expect a ban stick off SAU

A lot of people on SAU have skills well beyond what you could even imagine and help people in need if asked polite !! instead they could say FU pay someone to fix it !!

So chill out

Even if you dont agree show some respect for your fellow sau members

End rant , waits for bitchfest so the ban stick can come out

The question is a nissan is a soft target ( crime in japan isnt rampant like here) multi layered approach to security and even a 10 buck club will slow them down and stop joy riders

Gps tracker is a must on any decent cars and even that isnt a magic fix

Common sense is one major prevention of theft

    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
