Hi everyone,

We have been able to organise a club feature article in HPI(www.hpi.com.au). The photoshoot will be done by Rick McDowell, who does all of the WA content.

I'm after nominations off people who are interested in getting there car in the best import mag in Oz. If you can make the date, Sunday 23rd of May then please PM me your interest. The shoot will most likely be held at the Kwinana Motorplex.

This will provide very good exposure for SAUWA and SAU. There are only a limited number of spots, and preference will be given to SAUWA members, so hurry and join up if you haven't already. Please make sure your cars are in good condition for the photoshoot.

Cheers

Paul

President of SAUWA

Wrong way to go about a photoshoot if you ask me!

I say get EVERYONE along to the motorplex for a giant group shot as well as the smaller feature articles that go along with it. You can be picky with which of the cars get more features. There should only be limited spots for the individual car shots, etc. Not the entire event.

Make the event open to everyone to wash thier cars, bring them along, no matter how stock, how N/A, how dead clutched etc.

I'm sure a panoramic group shot of 50+ skylines in the pit lanes taken from the dragstip overpass would be a big win.

Just my 2c. Knowing all the long-time SDU/SAU'ers would probably think the same.....

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
