Birds
See what light? I'm not disagreeing with Markos or his methods. Not everyone wants to train the same way as everyone else, why is that so difficult to grasp? NickR33
Looks like I'm going to be getting lots of bench practice for the next week or two did something to my lower back... right down the bottom, near my upper glutes... can't bend over at all... sitting and standing are very painful... lying down is okay... getting dressed is a challenge... might just go to bed clothed, will make things easier tomorrow lol I've strained my erectors before but this is different... lower down and much more painful I'm lifting at Nats... even if I have to do so in a wheelchair... so my back can kiss my arse Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/46/#findComment-6846069 Share on other sites
NickR33
in before Markos and TTT I think I've also ruptured my vagina Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/46/#findComment-6846072 Share on other sites
TTT
Sacrum strain or alignment issue maybe? vagina is usually on the front. Definitely see a physio to start with. leg movements hurt it? Like if you swing your leg back and forth or side to side? hurt to twist upper body? NickR33
there's two vaginas... a front one and a back one;) yep will be seeing Jason Mawby as soon as i get the correct phone number lol leg movements are okay... walking not too bad... hurts to twist anything remotely like a deadlift movement hurts the worst... TBH I'm pretty sure I did it last week... thought it was just tightness/soreness so I did a long warm up and lots of rolling... felt sore but I went for my working set anyway... it didn't pop or anything just knew as soon as I'd finished the set I was in trouble just hit it with the hot water bottle and it's a bit better... which leads me to think it's just a strain... hopefully I can just skip squats/deads this week and it comes good Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/46/#findComment-6846147 Share on other sites

NickR33
thanks mate... went and benched this morning, back feeling a little better... thanks to all the boys who loaded plates for me and helped me up off the floor after floor press lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/46/#findComment-6846827 Share on other sites
markos
Wayne and Liam on crutches, you with "old man" back, the team spends more time helping than lifting lol Its only going to get worse with Emads broken arm. NickR33
Wayne slipped on a roof and cut his leg very badly... Liam has a knee issue that he had surgery for... surgery didn't work but then they found another issue that needs time to heal I think I hurt my back as a direct result of giving Wayne crap about having to load his plates for him... karma is a bitch I'm off to see Jason tomorrow morning, then drop in at PTC for a bench session after... hopefully it's just an alignment issue, maybe a pinched nerve that can be fixed with some manipulation Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/46/#findComment-6848938 Share on other sites
trentzor
That time of the year again. A few of my guys are riding that fine red line atm as they prep the final stages for nats. Seeing emads snap has shocked a few of the guys into spending more time on Mobility - rehab and prehab is up more than normal. NickR33
Saw Jason this morning, have to go back on Thu after I get my X rays he told me to stand in front of the mirror and showed me how crooked I am... it was ridiculous and weird that I've never noticed it before he did say it's possible I have bulging or slipped disk but I think I'd be in much more pain... definitely no nerve damage which is good... lots of ice for the next 48hrs hopefully the ice will reduce the inflammation, the x rays will be clear and some manipulation will have me back lifting in a week or two he did say once he gets me straightened out I should see a strength increase on a brighter note I benched 125kg x 3 for 3 sets... still on track for my first 3 plate bench press Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/407502-powerlifting/page/46/#findComment-6850774 Share on other sites
Mitcho_7
That's solid benching! Got the 117.5kg bench out yesterday an the 2sets of 3x102.5kg after it, so hopefully I can step it up for the 120kg in the last week. markos
That time of the year again. A few of my guys are riding that fine red line atm as they prep the final stages for nats. Seeing emads snap has shocked a few of the guys into spending more time on Mobility - rehab and prehab is up more than normal. lol......no amount of prehab would save anyone from what happened to Emad The operation is tonight, they are doing a biopsy on his bone to find the cause of the snap, as in disease, it has nothing to do with lifting weights, your humerus doesnt snap benching 110kg. It doesnt snap benching 400kg. It snaps if there is an issue with the bone. trentzor
I know mate lol. I should have clarified. His was a freak accident. Nothing could have prevented it. It's pretty rare though I haven't seen such a break before. Any specialist ideas on what caused it? Plenty of guys bench for years without snapping it as such. Keep us updated on how his going after op.
