Have you bought stuff from him?

The price is great! $1165 delivered for BC BRs :woot: .. Thinking of ordering them on Monday

Yeah got mine for that price off him a couple of weeks back! Good to deal with too!

I am going to sell my old R34GTT Teins for $400 as the rears need seals/rebuild (quoted $195 a side through Fulcrum) so if someone wants a cheap set of coilovers PM me, they are coming out this week.....

I have had BC BR's on my R34 GTT Sedan for about a year, very happy with them. After eons of research I went with custom rates of F:6kg and R:5kg. Turns out these work very well on all types of normal roads in Victoria. In fact, I would rate these over the Yellow Koni + King Spring combo on the Monaro that was over twice the price of the BR's back in the day. I'm running the BR's with bigger swaybars front and rear, a Whiteline camber kit and alignment by Trutrack.

Oh yeah I got mine from JustJap, they sent me the wrong springs at first (stock 8/6) but didn't muck around getting them swapped for the custom ones. I also got a very recent build date on my coilovers, maybe another reason to order with custom spring rates?

can anyone tell me wht type of suspension is on the sedan r34 gtt ? is it the same as the coupe or different?

Same as the coupe as far as the mounts go, just make sure you get the correct type for the rear though (fork for RWD GTT, eyelet for RWD GT, I think 4WD is eyelet too).

However, the weight distribution between coupe and sedan is different, which affects your spring rate selection. Ideally you'd want the car corner weighted before choosing your springs. I didn't, just went with F:6 and R:5, on the assumption that there's a bit more weight in the rear of the sedan.

Quite sure I made the right decision going for these.. But I saw a 33 at my painters shop with fully adjsutable HKS system (probably worth 12k).. *droolll* lol ..

Apparently hes gettin a motor for it from US as well. Gaurds have been widened and a roll cage is being installed.

guys i dont know if i am thread bumping or something but i came across this coilovers which are quite cheap. i have had their springs in my dc5 for quite long and they have given me good service.

but i realise that the spring rates are 10 in front and 8 in the rear.will that be a problem becasue i am a noob in suspension knowledge.and i also dont know what spring rates the stock suspension has.

any help regarding this will be really appreciated.

From what I know lowered King Springs are approximately F:3.7kg and R:3.1kg. These are stiffer than stock suspension, which means that stock is even lower than these spring rates. I personally would only consider 10/8 for the track. What kind of roads do you normally drive on?

Pricewise, ~$800 delivered is a good deal for coilovers - you can't even really get new shocks & lowered springs for that kind of money. However, BC's are about 1.2K so not that much more and there's lots of people running them successfully. Up to you.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
