Wtb R34 Gt-R V-Spec/vsii Genuine Buyer Money Ready

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I have sold my R35 GT-R and am now in the market for an R34 GT-R V-Spec. Lot of people probably asking why I sold a R35 to go to a R34, firstly I really miss my old GT-R (RB26) nothing like a manual gearbox with a nice worked RB26. Additional to that I needed to free up some cash for a new business venture.

The R35 GT-R was the best street daily car although when it comes to a fun car I would say the RB26 Cars takes the cake between the clunks and noises the old school GT-R's just feel much more individual and raw.

I am looking for an R34 GT-R would like a V-Spec or V-Spec II, I am open to cars at any level would prefer something with mods but don't mind a clean stock car also. Would prefer something with history from Japan but not mandatory. My priority on colours are as follows.

1. Midnight Purple II or III

2. Bayside Blue

3.White/Black

4.Yellow

I may consider other colours so no hurt in sending me info on what you have.

If you could email me any information about the history of the car along with some pictures and an idea of what price you are after that would be great, also a detailed mod list.

Would prefer something with a built motor especially stroker (2.8 Tomei/HKS) with nice big singe (HKS TO4Z or T51R)

Feel free to pm me or email further information to [email protected]

I am open to interstate sales so let me know and I can fly to see your car if its what I'm after.

Regards,

Ray

Nice to see yellow is on your list, there not very popular!

I also rate the purple at the top:) there awesome colours.

Good luck in your search mate, good ones arnt easy to find.

Ps there is what I've heard a really nice mnpii 34r on carsales in syd for 89k.. Pricy but has alot of bells and whistles!

Cheers mate yeah I think yellow does look pretty nice, its a nice yellow not like the cheeseburger yellow on the WRX's. :)

Saw that MP one on carsales, to be honest I have been around GT-R's for over 6 years owned 2 33's (one ran a 10.8) a 00 R34 V-Spec and a R35 GT-R. I have monitored GT-R prices for a while for example a year ago longz MPII Vspec R34 GT-R sold for 47k, another non V-Spec with respectable mods for around 51k.

So I'm just looking for an honest car with an honest price in the end of the day at least whoever speaks to me knows I wont be wasting there time with delay's and no money bs etc, cause theres nothing worse then selling a car that's your passion and dealing with time wasters.

Yea not a fan of the almost pastel type yellows, the Nissan yellow Is pretty good, not too bright, but is still a deepish yellow..

Ha yep longz gtr was one of the first gtrs I looked at, unfortunately it wasn't for me though...

Good luck with the search, I'm sure you'll find what your looking for in time.

You know the market well, good to see ;) Some asking prices floating around are just plain laughable!!

^ Lol true I've pretty much been looking at R34 GT-R's weekly for the last 6 years so seen a fair few, the R34 was my 1st love it was the 1st GT-R i ever drove it was a mates one with a VSpec II MP3 and I have loved them since. Even when I had the R35 GT-R secretly always wanted another R34 GT-R :). Nothing like a big power RB !!

Hey ive never come across a mp vs2 must be rare anyone know how many were made?

I was pretty sure that the midnight purple colours were only on series one?... Much like yellow and red...

I thought mp2 was series 1 r34gtr (vspec1 era) and mp3 was series 2 (vspec2 era)

Nah I have seen mnp iii vspec 1s...

My guess, there was 300 released of both mnpii and mnpiii... Mnpii were in 99, mnpiii were in 2000, pre the vspec series 2 stage etc...

Just what I can gather.. Anyways, sorry this Thread has gone off topic abit ha

How much power where you making when you ran 10.8 in your 33 Ray??? On my 540hp tune with the GT28/60 -5's I ran 11.3 @ 124 mph, Keeping in mind i can't drive, and that was a Benaraby agricultural drag strip.

There is no such thing as a MPIII Vspec 2... If you ever find one it'll be a respray.

There was a MPIII Vspec for sale on here only a month ago, only lasted a week before being SOLD.

You should import a MPIII 34

MPII was released Jan 99 MPIII released Jan-March 2000 so both were the 1st series of R34 GTR both had grey interior and came in standard and V-spec models the second series was not released until oct 2000 in the V-spec II then nov 2000 in the standard models , as stated 300 MPII's were built and have never seen an official number for the MPIII have heard around 160. I would say the car you saw had its interior and bonnet changed

Fair enough and that is good to know :) reading some of your other posts gtr13 you know your stuff about r34 more than anyone on this forum :) your a great resource to Sau

    • As I've said elsewhere, I am using the stock intercooler piping path in the engine bay, and a return flow cooler, and making ~250 rwkW (without any effort put into trying to turn it up past there just yet) and expect to be able to make some more, and frankly, I would be perfectly happy with 260-270rwKW. This is peak road Skyline usability territory. You go past there and, sure, the car will snap necks more when it's on boost, but it will also break shit all the time, cost a (even larger) fortune in tyres, etc etc. Anyway, I also do not like the over-the-fan pipe path, and you don't have to do it.
    • I see, honestly I’m not too fussed about the looks. The only reason to go plenum is to make the piping easier instead of the classic over the rad etc.
    • Not easy to quantify wrt something like how many fractions of a second slower it would be over 0-100. But given that a 250-300rwkW car is able to do that launch sprint in 5-6 sec (and faster with appropriate tyres, and surface)..... giving up as much as a second would feel like torture. A ~450HP capable turbo is not going to make lots of boost in the 2000-3000 rpm range. So, whilst with some boost on hand it will be faster accelerating in that rev range than your engine currently is NA, it will not feel like a fast car until the boost is solidly in. You know what your car feels like right now when you open it up at 2000rpm. if you've ever been in an actual fast car, you will appreciate that the NARB25 is.... not exciting. Well, add some boost and it will be better. But shorten the intake runners and it might not be better at all. It might come out better, but it could end up feeling the same. For me, it's not the 0-X km/h sprints that matter. It is easy to fry the tyres with anything over 200 rwkW. You can't use all the power available in 1st and 2nd anyway, you have to modulate the throttle. What matters is how the car reacts when you're driving in traffic in 4th or 5th and have maybe 2000 rpm on board, and you want/need to add some speed quickly, and don't have time for the downshift. It won't make boost, it will be all NA (at the speeds we're talking about - remember how fast you're going at 2000 in 4th! and don't plan on breaking the limit by too much.) So giving away NA torque is not what I would consider practical for a street car. And retaining that NA torque builds boost faster which makes the car faster. The flashy plenum is not actually better, unless you're looking at a track car where you can keep it on the boil all the time.
    • So how much difference does it make you think? Like 1 second in the 0-100?  I was have smaller turbo so hopefully that spools quick GTX2871.  currently it’s NA so you can imagine pretty slow, but I do want fast accusation a little as there’s not many places I’ll be driving where I go over 80 even near me. So 0-60 and 0-80 targets
    • Short inlet runners cost quite a bit. Dulls off the off-boost torque, and delays boost onset, because arrival of boost is driven by gas flow is a product of the ability to flow air which is torque. This is the reason that the stock manifolds have longer runners. On a 3L, or bigger, you can usually accept the compromise of giving away some torque because the extra capacity gives you a little extra to waste. But on a smaller motor, there's not a lot there to start with. Example, I swapped RB20 out of my R32, 25NeoDET in its place. The "wall of torque" that I experienced afterwards made it all worthwhile. That's because I came from RB20 land where torque is not a thing. But I would not do anything, anything at all, to reduce the low/mid torque I have now, because I remember what it is like to not have it!
