B.o.v Vacuuum Line

Hi guys,

just a quick question.

Got some vacuum hose from ebay in silicone blue 5mm from ebay and replaced my 4mm rubber ones just to spice up the look abit.

car was holding boost at 19/20 psi fine.

soon as i put the silicone blue one on from b.o.v to plenum was strugling to hit 14/15.

went back to my normal rubber one and back to normal.

is it 5mm to big or the quality crap of that silicone hose cause it feels real soft compare to my rubber one hard type ones...

sounds like it has a leak somewhere, did you use clamps on either end of the vac line? If not try that, otherwise go buy some good quality vac line. I have turbosmart lines everywhere, some places not even clamped and never have any issues

yea i think there just no good the ones i bought so just got some 4mm turbosmart ones on order.

will 4mm be ok for boostcontroller and b.o.v ?

If the vac nipple on your BOV has an I.D of 4mm or less than it will be no problem at all

yea its 3mm on my bov nipple so 4mm i got should be ok ? i got 3meters of it so should 4mm on all plenum and boost line vacume be all good?

I used 4mm turbo smart for everything. Mini cable ties to help clamp them on

Yeah as 3mm will be the biggest restriction on the BOV nipple then 4mm hose is fine
