this has been covered before.. it doesn't matter a damn if the officer has written the wrong license number on your ticket, or even number plate, you won't be able to get out of it.

If though somebody else was driving your car, or you received a fine when you didn't think you were driving - that could be different.

You cant get out of a fine because of wrong details especially if he had his partner with him! Things can get easier to get out of if he was 1) Without his partner or 2) Not on duty. You may want to look at something else as a defense, if you werent doing that speed use that, did they radar you and show you your speed on the gun? Or did you get done on a camera? If you got done on camera chances are very very slim you'll get out of it!

I got a ticket where they wrote down the wrong street of where the incident occured, during court, when they realised they stuffed up, since they were using photographic evidence in their case. They just got the case adjourned, wrote me a new ticket & screwed me over at the next court hearing.

6 Months later after just getting license back i got fined ( ourt again) for doing wheelies. he he & fishtails, which i can somehow manage to do whilst sleeping at 5AM. But some old bitch rang up and said i was and gave them my plate no# so must have been. ****ing c0ckheads.

Went to court again, the judge said, and i quote "Who do you think i am going to believe a young hoon with bad history or a nice old lady." Only 2 points for a year. 8 Months to go.

end :P

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
